“Would you get off!?”
“How about you fuck off.”
“You kiss your mother with that mouth?”
“If you’re not careful, I’m going to kiss you with that mouth.”
Nico jabbed an elbow into Will’s side and tried to dive over the son of Apollo’s back from where he had flung himself across Nico’s legs. Nico only halfway made the lunge and Will let out a brief: ‘oof’ as Nico clumsily flopped half on Will’s back and half still squirming to get away. The two of them scrambled, pushing the others limbs away but Nico continued holding his videogame controller in the air, dodging Will’s attempts to block his view of the television. Nico had already beaten Will three times, and when Will realized he clearly wasn’t going to win fair and square, he resorted to dirty tricks which included (but certainly were not limited to) tackling and attempting to disable Nico while they were playing.
Heartbeats part deux, in which we meet Will’s mother, Will’s mortal friends, and Nico watches The Goonies for the first time.
Warning: There will be stronger language (as the boys are older from where we last left off in Something Like That), and a handful of OCs (I promise they are only used to further the development of the Nico/Will friendship as life outside Camp Half-Blood is explored).
Slowly, but surely. We are en route :)

Okay, so as a gift to you and some proof to myself that I am not a complete failure, I’ve posted the next chapter up to the point where I can’t work out how to make the rest of it happen.

I hesitate to say this, but I actually had a major breakthrough and wrote 2000 words yesterday. I mean, most of it was Danny and Mindy arguing about Shakespeare and coffee, but I'm sure at some point some plot will emerge. At the very least, I think I'm finally finding a way through that feels genuine to these two, and where they've ended up after 7 chapters.
So, keep bugging me! I'll try to have it up ASAP.
redglasseslove I want you to know that just for you I actually researched the venue that National concert happened in and tracked down the actual setlist. For a one-shot which the concert is like a teeny-tiny part of.
If this is not devoted fic research I do not know what is.
