Birds and Names !
Once again thinking about beeple… kea bird Viktor and bleeding heart dove Jayce - (for an actual au I’m thinking of them both being corvids I just really wanted to draw kea Viktor)
Soulmates Extra Prompt 2:
I had to give grian a bird beak -v- Prompt: Feathers Time: 4 hours (how did i do that????) @mcyt-soulmate-sweepstakes
kea parrot with rainbow themes
Stress doodles
look alright, I know everyone is headcanoning Grian as a kōtare (kingfisher) this season because of his obsessive crush on the ocean but I need you guys to hear me out on this okay... if anyone is a kōtare this season it's 100% Gem (I mean c'mon her skin has the blues and everything!). no, Grian is not a kōtare, Grian is and always will be a kea.
(reasoning under the cut because it got kind of long, as well as some pictures of birds being idiots)
A quick sketch of a kea before my migraine hits. Love these lil bastards.
First of all, I would like to send you love - not just from myself, but also from The Void, The One-Eyed Wonder, and The Worst Creature On Earth. Second of all, you're getting a lot of asks, and I felt left out??? So, if you could have any pet-that-isn't-a-pet (e.g. a wolf, a whole-ass polar bear, 3 rats in a tailor-made trench coat) without any repercussions, what would you choose? Kissing you on the head, by the way. If you care. (You care.)
ah thank you, a blessing from the three wise cats. the sad truth is that i'm actually not getting many asks, i just have some unanswered ones from nice ask week - so sorry to everyone who sent me one, i'm not ignoring you!
look, an interesting question. @kiwiana-writes has very recently introduced me to the most intriguing little demon birds i've ever seen (the kea). apparently, they can pick locks! i didn't know they existed until today, and now i am one part terrified, one part absolutely enthralled. i'm not sure i'd choose them as my one pet, but i'm definitely considering it.
side note, apparently they make friends by attacking each other! wish it could be me.
i've also become very obsessed with kiwi birds who - unbeknownst to me - scream like a banshee despite their very cute packaging! what a lovely surprise!
hope this helps!
