i dont remember what interview it was in but one time keane were talking about how they went back from making longer songs (mostly on perfect symmetry which was way more experimental for them) bc they felt like if they couldnt say it in 3 minutes it wasnt worth saying. and at the time i nodded my head agreeably like oh Favorite Artist you are so right since youre my Favorite Artist but like . how could i ever let go of perfect symmetry or russian farmer's song or black burning heart... she has no time.... bad dream!? broken toy!!!????? unbelievable. idiots.
