the night was still young, the moon still GLOWING above them, but lily was having such a great time that she was already torturing herself with the thought that at some point it had to come to an end. so many people she’d met and so many mysterious boys that’d asked her for a dance, it seemed all too good to be true and she had to go outside for some fresh air to ease her effervescence. careful as not to trip with her long, lilac-coloured dress robe, she slipped out into the entrance hall and went down the front steps, from where she could see the SHIMMERING fairy lights in the rose garden and the large stone statues. here and there, people were sitting on carved benches, talking lively. she could sense the feeling of merriment that filled the school and its students and she was OVERFLOWING with joy. but then her eyes caught sight of a masculine figure that sat on the stone bench of a tall fountain, watching the water, all by himself. she stood in silence for a moment and looked around, dubious, before approaching the stranger. ❛ you look like you’re having a great time, ❜ she said teasingly yet courteous, with a slight smile touching her lips.
