I just don't understand why when I meet someone new, and our jobs come in conversation for the first time, they ask in a way that makes it seem like my answer should be something more grand. They'll ask "what do you do?", which to me sounds like my occupation should be something more on the side of "partner at this or that firm" you know? Usually they're job is some job that makes much more than my job even if it isn't the best job in the world, but the reality is I'm a retail worker, I don't make a lot of money but I really like my job, do I plan on being there forever? Hell no but right now it's what I like. The assumption that everybody is making bank is the worst, if you're going to assume, assume reality, the reality is or the gag is! (in my Keke Palmer voice) not everybody is working that dream job and some not yet, the average person(many of us) is working in fast food, retail, customer service, custodial work, etc. This isn't all because of the way a person asks a question but my point is we as a people have to be more realistic at times is all. God won't give you more than you can handle but when he knows you're ready for more he gives you that push. We all may not be where we want to be, but everybody has a season and sometimes it just takes time. Everyone's time of growth, prosperity, and success will come when it comes, til then be thankful for what's in front of you, I may not have a car at the moment but I have help, I may not make much at my job but at least I I have one, and can say I really like where I work. I may not have my own place but at least I have a loving, caring, accepting, and supportive mother who never once thought about kicking me out and we help each other. So just count your blessings and wait for your season. 😊

Jesus sees the future and announces to his disciples, the eleven without Judas Iscariot because this disciple was going to deliver him, his death and his crucifixion at the end of the Last Supper; the sheep, Jesus tells them, must prepare themselves spiritually because they will be left without their shepherd: "My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come" John 13:33. The disciples do not clearly understand the words of their teacher because they are not yet filled with the holy spirit. So that they do not get discouraged and keep the true spiritual faith, Lord Jesus speaks to them about that spiritual life that is beyond this physical life, Jesus speaks to them about his Father's house, where he awaits them after his crucifixion, as he explains in the gospel John: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going" John 14:1-4. But one of the disciples is more curious, and since they do not know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, he asks him about this place where Jesus is going to go, and how to get there: "Thomas said to him, ´Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?´” John 14:5 Increase your little faith our Lord Jesus tells them because he is the “son of man”, the personification of God’s perfections, and in him are the truth, the way, and the life, he is the true spiritual image of the Father, and so he answers them: “Jesus answered, ´I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him´" John 14:6-7.
