It’s 3:30 am. Christina, my roommate, and I are pathetically wrapped up in our favorite blankets while gorging ourselves with hot wings because we have to. The aroma of stale coffee fills the air around us. If this isn’t college aesthetic, I’m not sure what is.

Nightly Thoughts

Now that I really think about it, I love my url and my twitter name. I genuinely enjoy them because of how I came up with them.

keepbreathingplease: This came from the song Keep Breathing by Ingrid Michaelson. I just freaking love that song. It makes so much sense to me. "I want to change the world but instead I sleep" has been me for so long. And all I can do is keep breathing. And I want everyone to keep breathing. Please.

Merryhappy2: This was my alternate name for my formspring account. It was Jessesgirl but then we broke up. Classic. So I found this song called "Merry Happy" by Kate Nash. It was my previous relationship in a nutshell and I loved it. So I decided that I, too, was "Merry Happy". I could watch a sunset on my own. 

All in all, I feel so at home with my usernames that I don't think I could ever change them. :)

1. favorite song (current and all time)

Oh wow. Um, "Turn the Sign of the Microcosm (Snu Mikrokosmos' Tegn)"  by Burzum. I've been listening to a lot of black metal lately and this song is nothing less of a masterpiece. My all time favorite is probably "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains. I grew up listening to them. Play this song and you will see me transform into a Tasmanian devil.

2. what would be your idea of a perfect day?

I LOVE downtown Kansas City and I'd love to just wander around there all day and just visit the cool little shops and buy a ton of incense and books and drink a lot of coffee. I would end off my day going to a concert and then stargazing.

3. Book you will never get tired of reading?

Any one of John Green's books. My favorite is "Papertowns." 

4. choose two: brains, looks, sanity

Brains and looks. Insanity is only half the fun.

5. what is one mythical creature you wish was real?

MERMAIDS.

6. most illegal thing you’ve ever done?

I downloaded an album once because I couldn't find it on iTunes. #thuglife

Ten new places. I just want to see the world.

8. person who has inspired you the most

Julia Othmer. She worked with my dad when he worked at a theatre company designing sets. She never let anything get to her and chased after her dreams despite what other people told her. Truly amazing.

9. one talent you wish you had?

I've always wanted to be able to do ballet. I dance around my house and go up en pointe in my Vans and TOMS (yes shutup I know it's dangerous)

10. what would be your patronus charm animal? (Harry Potter)

11. name someone you have lost contact with that you wish they were still in your life

A few months ago, I held a long-distance relationship with a guy from Maryland. After completely ignoring me three weeks, he texted me and said he missed me and that he was sorry. I wouldn't take him back though and now I really regret it. I miss him terribly. He was suicidal and I afraid that he's killed himself.
