despite the appearance of my parents and grandparents before them, I always assumed from cartoons and anime that I would one day just have clear skin, and while I'm not super acne ridden its still odd growing accustomed to the blemishes in my skin and thinking I didn't make a mistake somewhere that caused it.

#is it that cartoonists and anime artists wanted their characters to reach a blemish free idealization of eauty #or is it the time and budget that keeps them from actually adding in these details to their characters #keeping it consistent #in every scene of all their animation #and did that start out contributing to idealized beauty #or was it originally allowed because of the ideal beauty idea of society #naturally once the chickens and eggs get rolling they contribute to eachother #im just curious about how it started
