Got my Cowboy Kelermorph done finally, during my second and final week of paternity, with a tiny baby sat next to me snoozing peacefully. Real fun model to paint and own tbh, no idea why GW didnt give us a head with a hat but I made do with a Hive Scum head and a hat from Victoria Miniatures.

Captains roomate:

So my first ever miniature I painted was a genestealer sanctus, I painted him super queer with; a rainbow/bisexual flag cape, dildo purple bat with a little guy, sparkles everywhere, all while stepping on the body of some fascist. I called him my captain, and he has been my favorite model ever since!

It's a couple years later, I don't play gsc, but I wanted to get another cult model that I always wanted, a kelermorph.

And soooo I felt it's finally time I gave the captain a "roommate"

So with this model I've tried to keep esthetically similar to how I used to paint when I barely new what I was doing. While adding subtle techniques to make it pop alot more!

Far better use of wash shading on the model. Cleaner lines. Smoother colours. It took way longer than I should have.

Then I broke out the nail polish to give the cape the same finish as I did in the first place. It may not be the greatest technique but it works well as a sealing coat. It's also really fun when a guy at a store will ask how I did it, and I get to say "mud clear glitter polish, same as on my finger"

Aaannnnd that was it! They were done!

Painted a kelermorph! I’m not planning on collecting genestealers, but I’ve always liked kelermophs so I picked up the mini when I had a chance. I also had the free termagant sitting around so I painted him up to be a buddy for the kelermorph.

The Kelermorph is one of my favourite models, and I'm really happy with how the cape is turning out.
