Kell Brook hammers on Amir Khan
Kell Brook
Don’t really have much to say about any fight this week. 3 MMA cards from the 3 biggest north american promotions and most of the fights don’t really spark the imagination.
Kell Brook-Amir Khan is a fight I’m happy is finally happening, even though we’re past the point of either man being a factor. Khan always struck me as a guy who fought at one speed. It’s why he’d start at such a hot pace but then get figured out relatively quickly against elite fighters. If there’s any genius to Deontay Wilder’s game, it’s that he hides his explosiveness. Some of that is inadvertent (he’s kind of a lumbering mess), but he hides the speed of that right hand well. Khan does not. He starts fast and stays fast. And no matter how fast you are, people will get your timing down. Don’t think that factors much here against a broken Brook but just a bit of retrospection.
