A Change In Scenery || Kellan and Poca
Poca's bare feet ran over the twigs and rocks as though she didn't even notice them. It was something she did daily, running through the woods. It was second nature to her, knowing where to step and where to avoid. Little thought was put into the moving of her legs. Her eyes scanned the woods, taking in every detail as she went, watching for anything strange or unusual as she moved. When she noticed a different path she paused, standing between the two paths, trying to pick which one to take. She where the right would take it, simply loop back around towards her house, but the left path, that was something new. She debated for just a moment more turning to the left and walking the less traveled path.
She heard them before she saw them, the music filled her ears from a good distance away. The smell hit her next, the warm smell of home cooked food. Lastly it was the colors, they were almost blinding. The people there seemed to regard her with the same curious expression that she regarded them with. Pocahontas watched a group of children watch her for a moment before giggling and running off, but she didn't say anything. This wasn't her world anymore, this was like stepping out of her universe and into another. While none of the people there seemed mean, she knew that she wasn't exactly welcome, but she wasn't running off without at least a quick look around.
