Como é que se faz pra não escutar tudo isso que o espelho diz!?
Peeps, I hope everyone is okay. I hope that everyone of you is putting yourself first and stay safe before helping others. I know you're all good people but no one wants you to be in harm's way. I hope that you're all getting sleep, doing well in school/work/life, and that you're doing everything to recover because i love you all too much to see you hurt yourselves in any way. I think your followers feel the same. -Kellly
Hey There,
Thanks! We love you and hope that you (and all our followers) are also doing okay, putting yourself first when needed, sleeping, doing well, and recovering.
Love you,
-Bailey
the meaning of "Kelly"
"So good, it's like my ears are melting".
That's exactly how I feel.
This original song features lyrics inspired by R. Kelly but using a robot voice instead. It is part of the french website Gimme More Sound (http://www.gimmemoresound.fr) - L’Anthologie Musicale Compilation. It features some mean piano playing, awesome guitar riffs, and lyrics to make the ladies scream for more. I hope you like it. confetti system
how does the installation make you feel?
seeing the installation recalled fond memories for me. I have been following the work of the confetti system for about a year now so it was a fantastic experience to be able to take it in, in person. it's impossible to not respond amicably to the work of nicholas andersen and julie ho
how does the artist use the space
the design duo utilized a two story space with verticale emphasis. the sculptures were suspended with ropes, and gave the viewer two different ways to look at the pieces. from a balcony the pieces seemed to be floating in different depths, while looking from above made the pieces seem to overwhelm the visual sense; it almost was overly cute and kitschy.
do you have a different response when viewing the installation internally or externally?
from inside of the installation the sense of space is a lot larger. you feel overwhelmed because they seem to never end, while looking at it externally the viewer can take in the panoramic aspect of the installation.
what materials did the artist use in the creation of the exhibition? what is your response to those materials?
the primary material used was métallique foil. most of the hanging sculpture were constructed out of the different colored foil. However there were two pieces which flanked the foil confetti sculptures made from branches and flowers (silk?). they lightened the space. I am naturally drawn to two different color palettes, one being achromatic, and one being pastel/florals. They were used effectively because they popped against the repetitive motif/color palettes of the rest of the pieces.
how are color, space, texture used
color is used very repetitively. similar hues and metallic foils were repeated in the exhibit. they all had a high chroma which drew the viewer in. since the sculptures would typically be used for storefronts, decoration, or fine art, the bright color is necessary to allure the costumer. texture was more variated. so the pieces weren't one dimensional, different sized and diferent scales were used in both the application of the foil, and the pieces themselves. this gave the space variation so the eye can move throughout the space and not lose interest after homogeneous pieces.
what elements do you respond to the most?
i respond to the exhibit and the art itself very much, but i especially respond to the texture. the use of texture reflects the light superbly. the texture is inspirational to different applications in fashion, in painting, and in sculpture. it's incredible that something so crafty can look so expensive, which is done in part by the variation in texture.
what do you envision happening in this space
I envision an overload of sensory experiences occurring at once. with the nail polish which is cute-sy, and the bright and metallic colors all in one vertical space, with a very specific direction of sight, all works cohesively to pleasently overwhelm the viewer
