A grim hiss lingered at the end of his sentence. Silent, you observed as he lifted one hand and reached to curl a greedy finger below the neckline of your gown. Ambers whispered beneath your flesh, your lungs shrunken at the sensation of his knuckle brushing against your bare chest. His touch was both cold and warm as if he was two different men; One brooding, stout and unkind and the other hot like blood bubbling in a fire.

First off is this new multi-chapter fic from @nellblazer:

It’s a Far Cry/MCU crossover as you can see and I just love how Nell writes dark!MCU and crossover fics. It features a variety of our MCU faves with a female reader. The characterization is always on point and the elements blend way better than I ever thought possible. There are currently four chapters and I can’t wait for more! 10/10 because I’m a sucker for the dark and twisty and the smut-leaning chapters are just that good.

This fic/series boasts 14 chapters of Sam Wilson x Reader content with a forthcoming epilogue. It’s a whole ass novella filled with twists and turns and it’s hard for me to gush properly without going into spoilers. 😂 It had the vibes of a well written action thriller. 10/10 if this was a movie I would watch it all of the time.

This series currently boasts two expertly written parts featuring Jareth x Sarah with more to come. This series is written by an adult for adults and the sheer depth of the language and content shows and it is refreshing! What she does so wonderfully with writing for Labyrinth is how complicated the relationship dynamics are, and what I like the lost is how she tackles Sarah. Her age, the complexities of growing up, of loss and trauma- its navigated with an impressive ease. 10/10 It’s also some of the most enchanting fiction I’ve read in a while and I’m patiently looking forward to more, should the inspiration rise.

And last but not least I finally read through the last of this series by @laketaj24

This series is composed of Serotonin parts 1-3 and a new one-shot, It’s a No from Me. They’re all Colson Baker/MGK x Black!Fem!Reader. The series includes a generous amount of smut, drama, and feels. I particularly love how Laketa writes intense emotions. Wether is fighting, loving, or desperate need- the language is so compelling and folks I can’t recommend it enough. 10/10 get on that tag list folks I wouldn’t want to miss any MGK fics of Her’s!

Honestly most of my struggle with writing right now comes from the fact that I fell out of love with my favorite characters so it makes it hard to finish all the ideas I once had. And I mostly stopped reading fics altogether but consuming content is what really helped me improve my OWN skills, so that’s had an effect on my work as well. I’m just super rusty and everything I write feels mediocre and flat at the moment, but I’m determined to get back to creating shit I’m proud of.
