and i’ll admit, i’ve been out of touch with everything lately and i wanted to see what other kemetics might answer.

I had a really cool dream.

It started off as a nightmare. My car sped out and skidded uncontrollably. Everything went black, then suddenly I came to at a red light just turning green. I returned home shaken, sure that I had died and been brought back due to quantum immortality or something of the like, worried what that implied, worried that I wasn't supposed to remember, worried that I was dead in my original world and left everyone behind in that one, and that this was just a... Copy.

Eventually I thought to ask The Gods. At first I asked them to brush me with leaves if I hadn't died, but realized I was under leaves already so that'd be kinda dumb since they already were brushing me. Then I asked for them to tap my head. And to my surprise it happened!

From here it gets blurry, I guess I was losing control of being conscious. Anubis and I think Wepwawet greeted me from ... Large chairs I think? I was so happy I exclaimed "finally" (hopefully They knew I meant that I was so happy I finally was able to communicate with Them/that I was finally able to do it properly, not that I was impatient that They hadn't talked to me before. Id hate to be or seem rude especially after all the help) I unfortunately seem to not have the ability yet to fully remember dream specifics, but I think they explained it was a dream? It almost felt like everything paused so I could talk to Them. Then Wepwawet (at least I think it was Wepwawet? I'm only clear about Anubis, I'm almost certain that was Him, but for some reason the second God was fuzzier. Almost felt female to me? And I keep thinking 'camel.') asked if I wanted a story or to learn about.. something? Mightve been war stories? Of course I said yes and Anubis sighed a little on the side, dunno if He was sighing out of "oh boy here we go" or something else. After that I can't remember. I do wish I remembered the story...

I think this was an actual visit, but as always I have doubts but that's just my nature. Anyone have input?

My wonderful fiance bought me this beautiful Papyri remake a few days ago on a trip to an antique shop~! Ive done my best to figure out who each of the figures are, though from what I’ve gathered is that it comes from Nefertari tomb and Abu Simbel through a quick search of the name in the cartouche! I recognize the middle right figure as Auset (due to the hieroglyphs to her right addressing her as such with 𓊨𓏏𓆇𓁐 ) and I believe the far right two figures are possible from Abu Simbel.

If anyone has insight I’d love to learn more about it!

Is their an Egyptian deity related to the visual arts specifically? I have found some for music, metalworking, weaving and artisan goods but I was wondering if any had a specific connection to painting or the visual arts?
