bio :
Introductions might be in order.
But my name is Ken. I'm really great at Beach, and recently, I've discovered a love for horses (which the patriarchy is not about horses).
I was created to be Barbie's boyfriend, but now I'm trying to find who I am without her.
So far, the other Kens and I have continued to have boys' night, and I'm learning about all the things I'm great at.
And I am Kenough.
The second I saw this, I knew I was destined to have it.
I’m really nervous to see Barbie now because I read a lot of spoilers (as I always do) and I heard about Kendom people said that Barbie mistreated him etc etc. and that Ken is actually a pretty huge part of the film and becomes an antagonist. And this honestly makes me wanna cry cause I just wanted to see a movie about girlhood and your relationship with your mother and the highs and lows of life. I just wasn’t expecting misogyny to be such a huge part of this film and I wasn’t expecting such backlash from society about it. I just wanted Barbie and feminism and girl power and girl love cause that’s what Barbie means to me.
I need the people who have seen Barbie already to spoil if I will like this movie.

You just moved. A new apartment after college which means you have to unpack, little by little you slowly work your way through boxes to make the new space feel more like home. Eventually, you're digging around the little box full of knick knacks most of them have been with you since you were a child. That's when you see him.
Ken. Your Ken. He was your first ever birth day gift, you've basically grew up with him. While you've never taken him out of his box or really played with him, he was according to you one of your best friends. You never admit it though, it sounds strange. A chunk of plastic that you've never played with but you consider him your closest friend.
