The lovely @kennysfreckles tagged me on this little game as well.
If this was a fanfiction writer meme, I'll make it a fanfiction reader, because I haven't yet tried my hand at writing anything.
coffee shop or florist: I've read both, I've liked both. Not my favourite settings, but if I had to choose, I'll go with the florist AU.
Au or ‘fix-it’: I've read both, but I usually enjoy way more AUs. I love those Characters to be put in Situations. Put them in space, make them noblepeople in a different time period, change their jobs, I want to see them meet in any way! I do love fix-its as well, but maybe I'm not always in the mood for those.
enemies to lovers or childhood friends: I like both, but enemies to lovers (or even enemies to friends to lovers) is peak.
Angst or fluff: Depends on what the angst is and it needs the equal amount of fluff in the end to compensate.
Love at first sight or pining: PINING. Love at first sight does not exist irl and even if so, it's NOT narratively interesting, next.
Modern au or historical au: I like both, and I'd choose depending on the plot of the AU and maybe on the writing, but not on the setting.
Breakup and make up or proposal and wedding: Break-up and Make-up has more plot material, PLUS angst and fluff, so I'd much rather tune in for that. It can also have proposal and wedding at the end!
Getting together or established relationship: I always seem to love fics with people meeting and falling in love, and getting together more than fics with them already in a relationship. I guess the relationship is different. Not sure why.
Soul mates or unrequited feelings: Soulmates don't exist irl and even if so, (not really) unrequited feelings are a way more fun plot device. Although, I have enjoyed all the soulmate marks fics, soulmates who see colour only when they meet their person, soulmates who get the first words the other person tells them tattooed on their body before they meet, etc. Those are pretty fun, ngl.
Fake dating or secret relationship: Fake dating is so buzzy! YES, put those Characters together! Make them Realise! I'll read every type of fake dating fic.
obvious pining or domestic fluff: As you already know by now, Pining is my friend. Domestic Fluff feels like an ending of sorts! Happy, but an ending nonetheless. I like plot, emotional rollercoasters and Realisations.
hurt/comfort or crack: Both. I haven't read enough of either to choose a favourite.
meet the parents or meet-cute: Meet-cute, I guess? But I think it depends on what the setting is, #ToMe.
Thank you again to Pip for tagging me on this! It was fun! I will tag @miusmusings, @medeas-chari0t, @tzarfuckleroy, @2minutes2midnight, @agentofship, only if they want to do this!
I hope you have a lovely day!
