TICKET TO HEAVEN | EP 1
Nice evening at the theatre, but now I'm getting comfortable with my youtube and my taskmaster and I wanna laugh so much it'll last even more because I'll have to rewind to understand what they said while I was laughing. And then I wanna sleep 18 hours. Goodnight.
This evening started really bad because I keep having stupid useless childish arguments with my father but thank goodness for theatre class that completely changed my night for the better. And now it's also taskmaster time so I have to rehash this post from last week because it's always valid.
Lovely theatre class today as well, I got to reminisce about a nice childhood memory and then we got to improv in a court setting, which was actually pretty fun. (I accused someone of fashion crime and people laughed)
Theatre class with lots of new people this year (I do hope we don't always do the same things as last year because of this, but it's still really fun so I can't complain), and many younger than the usual age of 60 (which means I'm no longer the youngest at 29, shame) so I can finally have more potential friends? Hopefully? I realise I'm sometimes awkward anyway.
Theatre tonight was hosted by my worst enemy!!!!!
(Exaggeration: 1. He doesn't know he's my worst enemy, 2. He's not that bad, he's just awkward, but my gosh, he's an actor with the charisma of a rock.)
(I learnt Nothing!!!!!)(can't wait for taskmastertime)(taskmaster save me)(taskmaster)(save me taskmaster)
Tempted to text the group and ask who's hosting the class tonight so I can opt out if E. comes back but unfortunately I need to see people because this week has been awful so I will have to suffer him if he's there just for a little bit of happiness at least.
Teachers said next week they'll start proposing some scripts! They'll divide the play in parts because there are a lot of newcomers but not as much as to divide the lessons. I'm excited! I hope there will be a fun part for me to play. Last year I was very much out of my skin, so I hope I manage to get one I'll be more comfortable with, but not necessarily without challenging myself! Let's see. Maybe one day I'll manage to play Hamlet đ
E. is going to be back this evening I just know it. I'll use the excuse of having to wake up early tomorrow morning to not go tonight, sorryyyyy. Hopefully next week the real teachers will be back.
Went back to theatre tonight after Christmas break! The stage was SO HOT. My goodness, my cheeks are still red from the heat and I've been home for three quarters of an hour now.
I'm not great on improv but I love character acting and my teacher said he might consider adding me to a group that acts in actual shows (and not end of the year shows like last year) next year! Very exciting! Let's see how this one goes though lol
Woman I act with does not want to wear a stupid male shirt onstage and chats all the time during rehearsals; This guy just found out the entire plot of Hamlet just 10 days before the freaking show.
Heeeelppp meeee
I'm so stressed for all these plays I'm seeing myself becoming evil for nothing :(
Going #insane because the organisation for the diction play is awful. I'm NOT not going to Pride just because we needed to find a better schedule for rehearsals of a play you NOW say it's not even mandatory One Week Before it goes live. We're already going there every freaking day of the week I'm exhausted. The light technician (earlier here mentioned as E; I don't hate him anymore) called me yesterday because he also is confused by all these dates and he's also exhausted. I just went to this class to get a certificate of Good Diction. I was on board with the whole play too, but then if it had to be like this, it should have been prepared way earlier. I'm studying 3 scripts for theatre class already and I'm memorising two monologues from Hamlet and I don't even know why I said yes to that stupid part in the other play I don't even know the lines of yet. And it goes live in a week.
I love being onstage, I love acting and putting myself out there, but the whole scheduling with no organisation is very tiring.
Happy Pride month!!!!!

TASKMASTER: Series
20 Episode 8, âAm
I an Idiom?â
Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
The kid next door (talking toddler age) is playing outside and just wiped out in his Fisher Price car, and I just heard the babysitter say, âoh no, your insurance premium is definitely going to go up!â And the kid who had only been mildly sniffling before made the most confused, but startled sound youâve ever heard.
Just very clearly an attempt at saying, âmy what?â
He straight up forgot about his scraped knee and is now worried about whatever the fuck an insurance premium is.
i donât understand how neil gaiman intellectual properties still trend on here so regularly he literally trafficked women. like itâs not even a discourse thing or a âheâs problematicâ thing he was âcancelledâ for human trafficking. he repeatedly isolated women, usually his or his ex-wifeâs fans, with no support system for the purpose of raping them while they were dependent on him for income and housing. thatâs human trafficking
And to all his former fans⌠Neil Gaiman is not your dad. You didnât know him on a personal level. He wrote stories you liked, and he turned out to be a power-hungry monster.
He didnât betray you. He betrayed the trust of the women he employed. Iâve never seen such a case of former fans making an abuse narrative about them, when there are women who were materially, physically harmed by him.
The horror of this story is not that you had liked Sandman. Itâs in the abuse he perpetrated against multiple young homeless women and against his son. So many people have lost the plot with Neil Gaiman, itâs baffling.
sometimes an american will be talking to you and they start throwing around numbers like 70 or 90 when talking about the weather and you just have to smile and nod
you should get a second evening for reading fan fiction. And you should get an extra day in the week to do arts and crafts.
