Digimon Adventure 02 Hurricane Touchdown (2001)
vs Cherubimon ->->
It's funny that I got another Frontier digimon just after Agunimon, oh well, here they are! Cherubimon Vice!
Cherubimon: Vice
As one of the three great angels at the pinnacle of holiness, it's said that Cherubimon may be particularly vulnerable to corruption.
Gift art for the lovely @wishfulmelody!

Some OC Lovesick Terriermon and Yandere Lopmon Stuff.
TW: yandere, mentions of physical abuse, psychological abuse, verbal abuse, and death. I recommend you listen to the Fanfic Playlist. This will help set the mood as you read.
LOPMON A Lowly Shoe Salesman - Oppenheimer
Lopmon is extremely possessive, not full on yandere yet, but enough for you to know something’s wrong. They don't care if you're going to work, school, or hanging out with friends. Your presence is all they really want, to be able to touch your skin and take in your body heat. Leaving them creates an insatiable hunger for you and you alone, but also creates anxiety, what if you don’t come back? In this state, they tend to do things for you to distract themselves, a lil trinket made out of random objects they found while watching Terriermon train; or searching for something you complained about losing in the house. Being as weak as it is, Lopmon never acts on any of their obsessive/possessive thoughts. Their normal tactics include pleading and crying for you to stay, the tears don't last long after you leave, but the emptiness remains. Example Speech: “Y\n… I made you this pretty pendant while you were gone… I hope you don't have to go out anymore this week…” *He looks longingly into your eyes… wanting to lunge into you and feel your warmth, but too afraid he'll scare you off.* They are usually unable to complete a full sentence without pausing to analyze you; checking for any signs of judgment or uninterest.
VICE VS. VIRTUE
VICE Fission - Oppenheimer
To get this path, you must give into Lopmon's vices. Staying home when they beg, spending most of your time with them, and even cutting off people they deem “dangerous”. Out of the two paths, this is the best one you can take.
WENDIGOMON Can you Hear the Music - Oppenheimer
Already having reality warping powers in this form, Lopmon has reached their ultimate goal of having you to themselves. Their powers are used to create pocket dimensions where you and Terriermon can live out whatever scenarios Wendigo can conjure up. This form counters B. Gargomon, as Wendigo, acts as a shield from their physical and verbal assaults. Never resorting to hurting each other, Wendigo will put B. Gargo in their place if the time calls for it. Example Speech: “Ughrr” *He gestures towards his head as if asking for pats*. This form doesn't talk as much, preferring to grunt and gesture what he wants. Although with a tilt of their head he can practically just create anything, so it is not like he needs to. “G a r g o m o n… n o-b u l l y …m i n eeeeee.” *He says looming behind B. Gargomon opening his chest to reveal the cannons hidden within, preparing a Koko Crusher to deal with him.* Any words they do use are drawn out.
ANTYLAMON (VICE) Groves - Oppenheimer
Antylamon is the “sanest” of the bunch for both evolutions. It still maintains a possessive edge, but after already having everything it could ever want, Antyl starts to mellow out. They are much more open to the idea of letting you go out on your own, this doesn't mean that it’s not hiding on a rooftop watching your every move. This form requires much more cuddles than the last one, so it has a habit of scooping you up gently no matter what you're doing and trapping you in a bear hug. Antyl has no direct counterpart with Terriermon but will also come to your defense if B. Gargomon tries to attack you. Example Speech: "Y/N, you have work soon, yes? Come here, I require hugs" *Antyl scoops you up into their big arms, hugging ya tightly until you have to leave for work.* Antylamon (vice) is blunt, they try to emulate a wise monk they saw in a movie once.
KERPYMON/CHERUBIMON (VICE) Oppenheimer - Oppenheimer
Being a god, Kerpymon/Kerpy loses all interest in the whole “you belong to me and only me” thing. They got it all out of them during their time as Wendigo and now just acts like a lazy fat ass. It still likes to keep you extremely close, you're unsure if they’re treating you like a pet, a toy, a friend, or all of the above. Their key traits in this state are laziness, mischievousness, and an ever present need to feel special to you. It normally rejects their duty as a god, opting to spend more time throwing you around with their ability to manipulate gravity or using one of its bubbles to keep an eye on you. Their favorite game is “Pick the real Kerpy” where clones are created, and you have to guess which one is real. They say it's for fun, but deep down it wants to see if you can recognize the real Kerpy. Little do they know, the clones tend to have a weird mark under their chin, making things pretty obvious. You prefer not to tell them, though, they seem to find the idea of you scratching their chin and knowing who the real one is much better. Example Speech: “Y/n, pet my head, your god demands it~” *He grins and turns over slowly. You walk over but not fast enough for him, as a black bubble pushes you from behind into his head* Kerpy's speech usually has a smug undertone, and being a god only reinforces his need to be condescending. They will make their needs known, but they love it even more when you give them unrequested praise, after all, they are still your lil Lopmon.
MENTIONS OF ABUSE AND DEATH AHEAD. SKIP TO WHERE IT SAYS "SAFE ZONE" IF YOU WANT TO AVOID THAT.
VIRTUE Fusion - Oppenheimer
This path focuses on the effects of resisting Lopmon's possessiveness, ignoring their pleas to stay home too often, keeping those Lopmon asserts as dangerous, or mediating conflicts leaving Lopmon feeling the “loser” a few too many times.
TURUIEMON Dr. Hill - Oppenheimer
Turuiemon is the third most possessive one out of Lopmon’s forms. This is the first time they'll have any form of power over you, but they will still be too afraid to confront you directly. Instead, they opt to be manipulative, setting you up to be more reliant on them. Feeling a bit more brave due to their new abilities, Turuie finally starts to act on some of their less confrontational ideas. All that time alone as a lil Lopmon gave them plenty of time to think of ways to isolate you. If you leave your phone in an opportune spot, Turuie will go in and change things: deleting important events off your calendar, changing alarms so you miss something you've been planning for weeks, and, or certain texts and emails being unsent. Turuie will be the first one to comfort you over what feels like a string of bad luck they caused. After all, these people and things are a backseat to the relationship between you and Turuie. During their comforting session, they’ll do their best to manipulate your emotions, questioning if these friends were even yours to begin with. Who's to say that they aren't just making fun of you behind your back, or lying to you about events. It sounds crazy, but after a while of hearing it, you may just start to believe their lies. This form contrasts with Base Gargomon, who does their best to defend you from Turuie's onslaught. They may have the same goal to keep you to themselves, but to base, this is too far. This form, however, has amazing synergy with Black Gargomon. Black will beat you down for missing an event for the 5th time, then Turuie will offer words of affirmation, keeping you in a cycle of misery. Turuie themselves aren't a complete yandere, but they are not afraid to murder you, if they still feel ignored, or you somehow find a new relationship that threatens everything. Though, this usually happens after fair warning, specifically them holding their Tokaku Tessou to your neck and telling you how they feel about this new person. After all, once they get to Cheru, everything will be okay, they can just bring you back from the dead, right? Example Speech: “Y/N… I heard you missed out on another event…you're quite clumsy, huh? Well that's alright… I guess you are better off here, hm? Those people out there, your friends-, I'm sure they probably hate you by now, But I don't… I could never hate someone as sweet as you… Stay here so I can take care of you, I'll make sure everything will be okay.” *Turuie removes his Tokaku Tessou and reaches for your face. His gloved hand softly felt your face, lingering on your cheeks like Lopmon would. As you start to move away, his hand grabs the back of your neck holding you in place, he starts to move you closer, but their fear in your eyes activates his anxiety forcing him to let go out of fear* Their words carry this manipulative comfort, they’ll ruin your life and console you for doing so. They run off the fact that you're unsure that it is them, and will talk as if you're unconsciously screwing yourself over.
ANTYLAMON (VIRTUE) Kitty comes to Testify - Oppenheimer
Similar to Antylamon (Vice) this form is the “sanest” one of the line. It's a surprise that someone so possessive could calm down so quickly, letting you go out whenever you want, no begging in the morning, and no missing alarms. Something must be wrong, and you'd be 100% correct to believe that. Lopmon, just for one form, tries to hold back all of their true feelings. They’ve seen that manipulation won't work on you, something is giving you the strength to bounce back. So they’ve decided on a better plan, one you'll find out about soon enough. In the meantime, they'll hold back the urge to grab you while you exit your house, ignore their need to turn off any alarms moments before they go off, and let you go about your week as planned. Once they’ve made it to Cheru, everything will have been worth it, you won't be going anywhere. Even with all of this lingering over you, you'll never be able to pinpoint why you feel the way you do until it's too late. Only a few minor quirks will be your evidence that something isn't right: staring just a tad too long, or grip that's too tight during a hug. Only when you've fully trusted Antyl, will they be able to reach their end goal. Example Speech: “Human, how was work today…? It must have been fun” Antyl's hands cup together firmly, his body which normally would have been shaking while asking this question seemed unnaturally still. Antyl, being Lopmon's attempt at being normal, talks as such. They can talk in full sentences now, and any pauses are usually saved for the end. They still carry an underlying edge when, but it's hidden just well enough for you to doubt that there is anything.
CHERUBIMON (VIRTUE) Together Forever - Sinners
Cheru is the end goal of the virtue route and as such, the most yandere like of all the forms. After hiding their emotions as Antylamon, plus whatever extra heartache caused by your resistance during their Turuie phase, they have completely snapped. The smile glued to their face acts as a flimsy mask for their true emotions, which they will make clear to you immediately upon reaching this form. No matter what you were doing, where you were planning to go, Cheru will summon you and confess to everything: the tampering with your phone, hiding their emotions, and their true feelings for you. Nothing will be hidden because they are a God now, your God, but they still feel unhappy, no matter how you respond to their confessions. Cheru won't be satisfied, they'll doubt your acceptance and use your denial as fuel for their nonfulfillment. Nothing you could do at this point will ever satisfy them. Day after day things will get worse, it starts with you being unable to leave the house, then they forbid you from using your phone after getting a notification from a random mobile game. Even the TV gets banned if you stare at a character too long. It all comes to a climax with a simple knock at the door from a friend who hasn't seen you in weeks. Only Terriermon and you are safe from their divine judgment, anyone you've ever interacted with, even so much as a simple chat, will be struck down. They hope you won't see anything, but if you just so happen to be watching as divine lighting snuffs on the people you called friends, they'll be more concerned with you going out when forbidden to do so. You are theirs and Terriermon's but mainly theirs, they just tolerate Terriermon at this point due to their familial bond. Eventually, even sitting at home won't be enough for Cheru, they'll start to warp reality around you. The city you once lived in will become a giant flower field, your favorite restaurant may still exist but all the decor will be centered around Cheru, and maybe Terriermon if they whine enough. Pictures replaced with moments of you three, some that have never even happened, such as you getting married to them. You are trapped in this hell, none of Terriermon's forms can save you, and they just kinda let it happen, who are they to stop a god, they wouldn't want to be wiped out like the others. Cheru will never be happy, your only comfort is knowing that they won't hurt you physically. How many new adventures can you go through, though, if everyone you ever meet ends up dying horribly because Cheru fears that you'll get attached. Example Speech: “That's all gone now, though, right? I have finally gotcha right where I wantcha. All that fightin and strugglin we had to do while the others got in between us, well it's no more, hehe. We can finally start the rest of our perfect eternity together! No distractions, no outsiders, no fake friends, no liars, no cheaters, nothing but us three~” *The smile on his face barely moved as he talked. He slowly approached you, his hands wide open, ready to scoop you up like you always did to him when he cried for you.* Unlike the last forms, which usually talk with some underlying emotion or anxiousness, this form has nothing to hide. It speaks with conviction, they believe every word that comes out of their mouth and thinks they know what's best for you. They're very blunt and no longer afraid of what you think, after all, who are you to say no to a god.
SAFE ZONE
Lovesickness is “intense negative feelings and physical symptoms experienced when a person is separated from or unable to be with their loved one, or when love is unrequited”
TERRIERMON I Bet on Losing Dogs - Mitski
Terriermon is needier, they want to be around and praised by their tamer at all times. Even a moment away from them creates a feeling of betrayal within them and leads to whining. They try their best to be strong; in order to avoid resembling Lopmon, “a big cry baby” in their words. With a need to feel appreciated at all times, they'll train day and night while you're gone, they have to keep their favorite person safe after all. Their favorite way to show off is to use a new attack in a place where you'll see them, then act all surprised when you praise them. You should do your best to give praise constantly, they live for your attention and positive affirmations. If you happen to not notice their new attack or go too long without complimenting them, you'll see the life drain out of them. They'll seem much more distraught, Terry’s lil momentai’s or teases will be replaced with long lifeless stares. They’re much more distant in this state, opting to isolate themselves in fear that you'll hate them even more than you “already do”. At night, you swear you can feel their form crawling into bed with you, but in the morning they’re missing; the only sign being lil tear stains in your shirt. The best way to cheer them up is to go after them, they won't go to you themselves, but your comforting words and questions about their new attacks will cheer them up in no time. Example Speech: “Oh! Y/N!? I didn’t see ya there, heh… Ya thought my Super Bunny Blast was cool? I guess it is, huh, been working on it while you were gone. Maybe next time I’ll letcha watch me train~” Terrerimon puffed out his chest, he tries his best to act nonchalantly, but the bright blush and his lil shakes of happiness expose how your lil dork truly feels. Terriermon tries their best to sound cool when they talk. Watching a few too many action movies made them believe that acting nonchalant and uncaring, it’ll make you want them even more.
TERRIERMON & LOPMON Mount Bayou - Sinners
Being "twins", they care for each other as much as they care for you. With you being their prize, however, bickering and fighting for your attention has become a normal habit in your house. They both try to one up each other competing for your praise, a gift from Lopmon will be overshadowed by a super mega Terrier-Tornado which will then be overshadowed by a back-up gift which will then be… Their competitions don't stop with gifts, they try to overshadow each other emotionally. Terriermon believes that the best way to gain your affection is to seem all cool and unbothered, doing their best to keep up a tough guy act. Lopmon on the other hand can't contain their affection, which they’re constantly ridiculed for. You'll scold Terriermon who bullied lopmon for crying while you leave. “You're such a cry baby, Lopmon… I hope you don't scare away our tamer with those tears hehe” *He says, his voice quivering and cracking as he holds back his own tears, opting to puff out his chest and close his eyes. Running away to his favorite training spot to cry his heart out once you finally leave the house.* Their constant battles for your attention will be overshadowed when an outsider comes into the mix. Terry tends to act all tough in front of them if they're in a good mood, they believe that getting the person to like them will make you like them even more. In a bad mood, Terry continues to avoid everyone, opting to hide out at their training spot and give that person a goodbye gift in the form of a bunny blast. Lopmon tends to follow Terriermon when someone comes over.
GARGOMON
In the same vein as Lopmon's branching paths, Gargomon evolves based on the way you've treated Terriermon. Further evolutions have no noticeable effect on their emotions, instead being used as defensive tools or another way to show off. He will quickly revert to Gargomon once the need to use these evolutions have passed.
GARGOMON Your Best American Girl - Mitski
If shown enough affection and attention as Terriermon, Gargomon will be far more level-headed. They still show some signs of lovesickness, but are able to manage it to an extent. They contrast Turuiemon's fake affection by showing you real kindness. While not a direct complement to Wendigomon, the two pair together much better than Turuie and them. The latter often end up in violent clashes due to their difference in how the tamer should be treated. Gargo will do their best to protect you and your belongings from Turuie's constant assaults. Being much more mature, Gargo is able to go much longer without praise, but they still want to feel appreciated. Some quirks just don't go away with time, and one of those is their constant need for reassurance. While seeing your smile in the morning is enough for a while, sometimes he wants just a tad more, They hope it isn't selfish of them. A gentle hug, and definitely some praise, do wonders after a long training session. It doesn't help, however, that Turuie's always in their ear trying to sow doubt, and a lack of unrequested praise might just help those seeds grow. Example Speech: “Hey Y/N!… I just perfected this new move I call it Ultra Bunny Pummel, would ya like to check it out after work?…SWEET It'll be quick, I know how tired ya get hehe” Gargomon's face lights up as he carefully wraps his arms around you, he'd rather not accidentally knock you out with the huge barrels stuck to his arms Base is much more dorky, unlike the shy Terriermon, Gargomon will ask you to watch them do things. They are much more confident than their previous form when in a good mood. “Hey uh Y/N… You haven't really been showin up to watch me train as much as ya used to. I u-understand you're busy, so I won't hold it against ya… I just hope… Ya know… That I'm still useful to ya…” Gargomon tries to keep a brave face, he doesn't want to stress you out with his issues. You can see right through the facade as his body shakes gently, and his eyes seem resigned. Similar to Terriermon, Gargomon resigns themselves when they feel unappreciated or unloved. They won't immediately distance themselves, but you can tell that something's wrong in the way their voice cracks.
WARNING MENTIONS OF PHYSICAL AND PHSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE. SKIP TO "SAFE ZONE".
BLACK GARGOMON Sometimes it Snows in April - Prince
As a result of not giving enough attention and or a lack of compliments/affection, this form is meaner. Similar to Turuiemon, they will do their best to make you completely reliant on them, however their methods involve lowering your self-confidence. They will bully you every chance they get, if you embarrass yourself, and they catch wind of it from the “great vine” (Turuie), they will use every chance to remind you of it. They are always watching, waiting for you to mess up so they can belittle you even more. Constantly insulting you when alone and using that insult to further their own self-esteem and your reliance on them. In their eyes, you couldn't praise them when they needed you most, why do you deserve to feel good about yourself? This form, combined with Turuie's constant sabotaging, is designed to make you feel hopeless and more reliant on both of them. Turuiemon's manipulative words of affection complement B. Gargomon's self-esteem ruining comments. This form, if pushed, may result in threats of physical violence, depending on how ignored he felt. If their demands aren't met, this form may follow through with their threats, but this is rare. At the end of the day they still are your affection-starved little Terry, they want nothing more than for you to praise and love them. They hate the fear in your eyes when you look at them, your body's quivers are unbearable to watch. To them, though, It's the only way to get your respect and attention. It is still possible to get through to Terry, they would appreciate you watching their training, at first they'd be unsure if you were doing it out of fear, but eventually you might just be able to convince them. Example Speech: “Ya know y/n… I saw you trip on that rock yesterday, I have to say that was mighty pathetic of ya…so clumsy mhn? You really don't deserve to be a tamer at all you know, who's to say you won't make bigger mistakes if you're careless enough to trip on a simple rock. If we (Turuiemon and I) were to leave, ya wouldn't have anything, huh?” *His voice mocking Turuiemon's soft voice, yet B. Gargo's voice carries an undertone of sorrow and anger* B. Gargomon insults you any chance they get, their voice tends to carry a smugness and superiority hidden over a fake comforting voice. Their voice also tends to sound sorrowful if they see you start to cry or get scared.

AUTHORS NOTES
One thing a friend pointed out was that the violin within the Lopmon songs could represent their posession. I really liked the idea and wanted to continue it with Terriermon, but Mitski fit him so well...
Cheru has a song not from oppenheimer but I thought Together Forever fit pretty well. Especially the guitar representing his emotions coming to the front. If I had to choose one though it'd be Destroyer of Worlds as cliche as that sounds.
My favorite of the bunch is Kerpy, kinda why he got the best route unless ur reallyyyy into yanderes lol. Cheru always just kinda weirded me out. I never liked how blank his face looked, it's like he's hiding something,,,,
I LOVE DIGIMON!!!! AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!
