wait I just remembered I had more thoughts about this fucking show

I was just thinking about love and there was a post here that says the way Pantheon conceives of love is that it's an action, it's active - it's something felt but also something people do. that they push each other to be better and to grow.

and I know that's the point and why Caspian was able to make the cure, but I was thinking specifically about Yair Gispan and Farhad Karimi.

I just am beside myself with the idea that this act of love isn't magic compatibility, it isn't sexual, it isn't even romantic - it's raw vulnerability and honesty?!?!

are you kidding me? it is sacrifice and understanding? AND THAT IS WHAT CAN SAVE US, EVEN IN A WAY WE CAN'T FULLY REMAIN OURSELVES???

hi so today i reread Flowey Is Not A Good Life Coach by @unrestedjade and CRIED.... I CRIED.... i mean ...Aaaaaahhhhhhhh...... 🙏  .... ive never cried from a. fanfic before. i choked up at the end of chapter 24 ... like real tears were forming... and streaming.. i think i skipped a lot...when i. first read it, and, this is why,,,  i was not ready..... and THEN whilst i was in mid cry, my grandpa texted me to tell me he’s baking biscuits especially for me and he’s sending them to me tomorrow

AND I CRIED EVEN MORE. it was just.... an emotional time. my phone was wet with my happy/sad.

one of my favorite and constant rewatch shows is CBS Elementary (ACAB tho) w/Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu.

so I have seen every episode like ... A LOT of times. but still, Ophelia Lovibond's performance as Kitty Winter at the end of S3Ep11 is still so ...

her journey from surprise to alarm to hope and fear to DISGUST and shame and RAGE and PAIN is just ... it's magnificent. it happens in such a short (believable) time, it's so so so good.

saw a post that said "haunting of hill house is about family" and like yes sure but i would argue

that it is about grief? and how never talking about that grief - which they say repeatedly in the show "DAD NEVER TALKED" - is what causes it to fester and harm.

that post also said that Bly was about love and like YES but what if it is actually!!! about regret?! and how never saying things or a dream that cannot happen will haunt you?

i think midnight mass is about faith like that post says yes but.. isn't it also about betrayal? betrayed by your faith, betrayed by your community, betrayed by the deity you thought could save you?
