(Gifted) Great Adventurers by Alastair Humphrey and illustrated by Kevin Ward . I’m very ashamed to say that I hadn’t heard of the majority of the great adventurers showcased in this book 🙈 But at the same time that’s the best, because you can explore their story in a very accessible way! Not to mention that often these kinds of inspirational books tend to focus on the same individuals, which can make the stories a bit dull, so this was refreshing! I especially like that the stories are told through a mix of text, illustrations and comics! And for each individual the author wrote their own little paragraph on why this person inspired him, which is a nice personal touch that is often lacking in children’s non-fiction books! .
