It’s throw back Thursday. Here is a morphing slide show of from then to now. If you had told my 20 year old self that I’d move to Seattle,Washington, collaborate with an awesome person, and the music you create together will be played on the radio by the same DJ who helped break the same bands that you love, I probably would have been hesitant to believe you, but that’s going to happen tomorrow. I’m really grateful, feeling sentimental, loving this moment, and look forward to reaching even more goals as a team. I’ve sang for so long. When I first started singing professionally , I sang for gay men at their clubs, because they always accepted me exactly the way that I am. They helped me grow. I sang in NY, Sweden, California. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the growth and took the time to mentor me. Thank you to all the seasoned African-American women who let that skinny little young Aline sit in for them when they took their break. Thank you to my parents and step-father who have always been supportive. Thank you to Kris, probably the first person to book me who still to this day sends me a Christmas card from him and his husband.
