Talking || Max & Kezef
After finishing her homework, the last thing Max thought she’d see upon picking up her smartphone was a text from Kezef, much less one of him asking to talk. They hadn’t spoken in months, and it did take her quite a while to decide to respond. There was definitely anger inside of her at simply seeing his number on her home screen. She’d deleted his contact already, but it didn’t help that his phone number was still part of her memory.
After what felt like hours of rolling over and groaning, Max responded with a simple “okay” before she finally got up to get herself ready, wondering if she was crazy or not. One of the first things her and Yevgeni leveled on was the near hatred of the man. But while he had a valid excuse, she was just being a bitter girl.
After dressing herself to the nines, Max put on a pair of her sharpest heels and headed towards Kezef’s studio. She tried shaking the memories of naked days and the click of his camera, times when she felt truly blissful. This meeting wasn’t about that. Truly, she had no idea what it would be about; whether it would end in screaming or sex or simply parting ways. There were endless possibilities. Tightening her jacket, Max knocked on the door once she arrived, trying to put on a brave face, one that didn’t scream I miss you over and over again.
