We are converting the entire Monster Manual II from D&D 3.5 to D&D 5e stats! Enjoy the julajimus, a monster who lurks in the jungles, posing as a small cuddly creature to befriend children who take it into the village where it can attack.

My characters, which I came up with back in 2024 while I was into D&D
My d&d headcanon is that goblin language isn’t short and simple because they are stupid or something, it’s because they just suck at translating. Like the reason a goblin might be named Grock is because they misheard somebody who told them their name was Brock.
Because of the way their language works, g ends up being a very prominent letter and replaces most other consonants when translating from common. Seeing as because of the way the goblin mouth is formed, the hard g sound is the easiest sound to make.
Maybe the reason most goblin words are so short is because when they hear a word with multiple syllables, they dissect it into multiple monosyllabic words in translation, turning words like cartography into gar tog graafy or something like that in writing, and then evolving through different ways new goblin generations speak into gra targ-ee or something.
This has actually helped me in rp because I sort lift the back of my tongue when doing a goblin voice to emphasize my g’s and sort of muffle other consonants a bit. It’s a fun piece of world building that only I know because not a single player in the world would be perceptive enough to realize it.

Always easier to run like cowards.
Then just apologize to my face physically.
Guess we will play hide and seek.
Plot spoiler, I always find you.
Forget "What D&D class would you be?"!
What D&D or Pathfinder dragon would you be?
