QUESTION: so in the KFP movies there were no romantic pairings and therefore no romantic actions like kissing. Did they kiss in any of the KFP tv shows? Or have some other equivalent gesture?
Something that wasn't asked for but given
I was a bit salty about watching “Kung fu panda: paws of destiny” but really enjoyed it. 100% better then LOA.
I kind of want Dreamworks and Netflix to work together to make a new Kung Fu Panda season but no KFPLOA bullshit
If there's one thing I liked about Legends of Awesomeness it was how Po kept offering a helping hand to the bad guys, even though the first time it happened it was to literally establish his naiveté, even though he never fully succeeds in making anyone completely let go of their bad habits (though I think he improved some of their lives for the better). Especially as the movies are 4 for 4 villains being defeated and dying at the end, I'm happy to see him actually work hard to try to convince people to leave their villainy behind and turn their lives around. (sure there's Zhen but she's way less of an antagonist than any of the LoA antagonists)
And then in Apocalypse Yao he declines becoming Yao's successor because his purpose in life is to help others (and fight bad guys along the way). I just think it's really neat that it seems to be one of his strongest beliefs, that anyone deserves help and that anyone can turn a new leaf if they decide to. And in the process of this, he is almost-friends with lots of the repeat villains, most prominently Bian Zao and the crocs. He has access and knowledge on how to actually help them become good people if they ever decide thay actually want that, which isn't something that can be said for the other residents of the Jade Palace.
The rest of the furious five or Shifu never share his interest in offering help to the villains, and definitely find him immature for acting like that, thinking he's not taking his duties seriously when he's helping villains instead of just locking them up. While I think it shows one of his best traits in the show.
These are some of the best episodes imo because in these ones it's not Po's big ego that becomes his weakness, it's his big heart, and it's way more interesting when a trait is both your biggest strength AND your biggest weakness.
(I also thought it it was ooc for him to not trust Mei Ling in A Crazy Little Ling Called Love but honestly, I realised thinking about it that it's different because it's not his feelings and pride getting hurt if she turns out to be lying– it's Shifu's heart that will be broken. And obviously when you're looking out for someone you love and care about, you become more protective of them than you are willing to give a bad guy a chance. and in the end he's totally willing to help her out when he finally feels like he can believe her.)
