The Eclipse Show on KGNU (88.5 FM) in Boulder, Colorado, is a long-running radio show with a deep history in the hip-hop community. It started in 1978 as an alternative Black radio show and gradually evolved to focus on hip-hop, becoming one of the earliest to introduce hip-hop to Colorado listeners. Over the years, the show also featured funk and soul music, making it a staple for fans of these genres.

Originally, the show had to navigate regional resistance to hip-hop in its early days. DJ Chris Nathan joined in 1990, at a time when the show had a "quiet storm" vibe and was still balancing its hip-hop content with the regional climate. Eventually, Nathan took over, leading the show for nearly three decades. By 2018, The Eclipse Show had celebrated 40 years, marking it as one of the longest-running hip-hop radio programs worldwide, and it remains on air today as a key part of KGNU’s programming and Colorado’s hip-hop legacy.
