i’m gonna need you Only Friends watchers to THINK for a second outside of your ship-minded brain.

despite however you feel about sand being the better fit for ray or you thinking that ray actually like sand, it is NOT like that for him. this man wanted mew for years, he made that clear several times. did yall think he’s not gonna jump at the first opportunity to be with the man he wants more than anything?

SAND is FLING he knew for MONTHS.

MEW has been his OBSESSION for YEARS.

“but what about those times he spent with sand? did it not mean anything?” of course it did, AS A DISTRACTION.

at the time, sand is someone that’s available to take his mind of mew. and now that he finally gets the chance to be with the one his heart desired most, why would he be thinking about sand? ray knew he’s a rebound, he knew that and he still went for it.

Only Friends has shown that a lot of yall are more ship-minded than you’d like to admit. a relationship exist beyond your ship and yall started branding it as “not real/he’s not really in love with him”. believe it or not, you can fall in love with multiple people throughout your life.

also, i need yall to re-watch this last scene from ray’s perspective; this is probably THE happiest he has ever feel. he finally gets to be with the one person he wanted most.

maybe one day (in the next episode as we have seen from the previews), he will slowly realise his feelings for sand. but now (at least) for ray, that love is reserve for mew.

Why is no one talking about this scene?

The way Ray treated sex as if it was a thing Mew owed him disgusted me (maybe it's because of the difference in languages but the "why won't you let me have it" sounded horrible and scary). We know that the real reason Mew rejects Ray is because he's still in love with Top but Ray is unable to understand the other motives as well.

I don't know Ray, maybe Mew isn't ready because he was recently cheated on and ended his first serious relationship, which led him to have some very strong trust and self-esteem issues? I don't know, maybe.

The way he brought up his treatment of Mew during all the years of friendship (to compare himself to Top) makes me think that he always had ulterior motives with Mew.

I won't talk about their romantic relationship because it was obvious that from the beginning Ray threatened Mew's boundaries and he was only interested in one thing. Anyway, when Mew rejects him, he immediately runs after Sand 🤮.

By the way, look at Mew's confused face 😭.

No, Ray, just because you're in a relationship with a person, it doesn't mean that person owes you sex. Ugh.

Ray really threw himself at Mew knowing damn well he would get rejected so he could run into Sand’s arms guilt free. He could not leave Mew so he made Mew leave him.

OH and before I go I know it’s been acknowledged already but the raymew breakup was SO GOOD like i was expecting messiness and drama bc this show delivers in that department (which i’m certainly not complaining about) but instead provided us with nothing less than a perfectly paced well communicated discussion between the two that covered all the bases like what’s more showing of p’jojos artistic excellence than that

and all the little details AHHH like even with all their messy flaws im still attached to different elements of different characters i wish i could tell every single person i meet about how good this show is i think it needs to be announced to the whole world
