the last thing he had remembered was eros’ voice, his face — all while the fear trickling in because it felt too soon, like khaze never truly got to experience life in the way he was meant to. but there had been comfort in knowing that eros was safe. and now if by some perfect chance, he was face to face with him again, worlds away from where they had once been. his instinct was to immediately go to him, especially now as he realized eros had seen him as well. but even as khaze stepped forward, something didn’t feel right. he couldn’t figure it out, but it just felt … wrong, almost. “eros,” he finally managed to say, pushing his way through to get to him, his hands already outstretched. khaze wanted to grab onto him, to ensure that his was really happening - to feel his skin against eros’ once more. “you - you’re here…” he started, only to trail off as as he stepped closer, feeling the difference in eros’ energy like a slap in the face. with a sharp inhale, khaze drew his hand back, as if he’d been burnt, his eyes widening more. maybe he was wrong, maybe the force just felt strange in this place — but even as he tried to convince himself, he knew it wasn't that. “i can’t - why don’t you feel the same anymore?” it was only when he heard the soft shake in his voice that he realized he’d accidentally said the thought aloud. / @lcngliive
