Growing up, khit'li made it his business to be perfect in everything. If he wasnt naturally gifted in the activity he would practice ad nauseam until he met his own high standards and only then would he move on. A quick learner, it didn't often take him too long, but there were definitely late mornings and plenty of mistakes.
Now that he's older and has been through so many things, has fallen in love and is loved in return (@menphinasbow ♡♡) he knows he doesn't need to be perfect to earn affection and preference: Yvaine will continue to love him and his mistakes (and he has made quite a few with her xD) no matter how bad he fouls something up, but that hasn't stopped his compulsion to try to be perfect.
He's stopped showing off so much (for the most part), and is content to just enjoy his hard earned skills and natural talents, but...
He still totally tracks down Yvaine to specifically show her ridiculous little things he's done well, like how he managed to peel a hard boiled egg and keep the shell intact in two perfect halves, "cooly" displaying his handiwork in one hand while enjoying the fruits of his labour with the other. He'd silently prompt a (facetious) compliment and peacock back off to whatever it was he was doing.
Having been reprimanded by his superior officer for freelancing frontline, Khit’li removed the status and fought for the Serpents.
Upon completion of the duty, he saw said superior officer (@menphinasbow) was taking pictures nearby and decided to don his BEST AND MOST SERIOUS attire and PHOTOBOOOOOMBBBB
it was successful.
