5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?
Jack/Ianto from Torchwood. I used to be super into it, then started reacting against the pairing because of atrocious shipper behavior, then realized I didn’t even like the pairing as much as I thought because Ianto was kind of a cookie cutter character anyway.
11. Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?
I’m not sure. Closest would be Show!Laura Moon maybe (book Laura Moon does nothing for me). I really want to cheer her on in the same way as I’ve done for other likeable women villains (e.g. Lucretia on Spartacus) but the discourse around her is so racially polarized that if I say I like her, it sounds to myself as if I’m endorsing her actions even though I’m not.
17. Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen…
Into the Badlands. Sunny should have cut off Quinn’s head, then collapsed from taking a fucking flaming arrow to the chest. Veil then figures out some clever medical way of saving him.
