Happy Birthday, my life

Simon Snow makes me so emotional, I can never conjure enough words that express completely how much I love him. But I can wish him a happy birthday, and make his cake of out Mexican conchas.

Simon Snow is for the broken, for the depressed, for the talented kids with bright futures that never fulfilled the expectations set on them, for the ones who didn't think they'd live after 20, for the ones who carried on against all odds. Simon Snow is the light of my life and my reason of living, and I don't care that he's a fictional character. My love for him is the realest thing I know right now. Simon Snow, you might not believe you're loved (maybe none of us do), but you are. And I'm so happy to have had found you in a book, through words—as a writer, words and reading is the way to my heart, and you've certainly found your home in mine.

Happy birthday, feliz cumpleaños, mi amor querido, el amor de mi vida, de todas mis vidas. May you keep lighting everyone's lives and may you keep finding love within yourself and growing old with friends and family who warm your life back.

This is heavily inspired by the song "Baby Mine" from Dumbo because it's what my brain sounds like whenever I hear his name, whenever I think about him.

I wish I had written something for him, but @johnwgrey already wrote a (love) letter for Simon that absolutely sums up how I (everyone) feel about our favorite boy. Go read it, I cried so much

Finally! I ended up using a mix of acrylics, pencil colors, markers and inks. I had so much fun drawing and coloring this little lad ✨ his wings are a pleasure and a nightmare at the same time, but I ended loving them 🙌
