My entry for @khurainweek 2023. Today is a free day, therefore you get to meet the finance minister of Khura'in: Nahyu-ler

Putrid souls must be cleansed though the use of the thneed, an all purpose tool for the purification of souls

All in all super fun to draw and design this fusion onceler. Anyone else can draw him too. (I'd love to see it.)

im the world's biggest aa6 hater. however I did make the most woman ever. I really hated how they designed the holy mother, so I fleshed her out and gave her a proper backstory, design and skillset. she was a yak shepard that fell gravely ill, but was able to cure herself from advice given from ghosts that she could see.

her name is An'yin (after the Guanyin/Avalokiteshvara) Sukta (after the word Sukta, which is a religious hymn, but specifically the Nasadiya Sukta, which is a creationism hymn) Khura'in. Shes the most woman ever and she loves to make breads

Ace Attorney stuff that I thought of

This will most likely not happen.

Important: 

New attorney. 

Khura’in location. 

Six cases in the base game.

BRAND NEW GAME MECHANIC THAT LETS YOU RECORD SOMEBODY’S TESTIMONY AND USE IT AS EVIDENCE, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT

Case One, Turnabout Tourist

After waking up, with very few memories, only their name “Piper”. Finding an attorney’s badge and a handwritten note in their backpack telling them to go to the Hall of Justice.

They burst in, and everyone accepts them as a valid attorney because otherwise they have to sit there and wait for Apollo, who’s already AN HOUR LATE.

Our Prosecutor: Yellen Payne. Society has moved past the need for Gaspen Payne.

Yellen is Winston’s daughter, aged 31. They are the most competent Payne so far, and also get a custom objection, “SHUT IT!” 

More rambling about Yellen’s design: She wears a dark green suit with a tie, and ties her hair up with her glasses. Her hair is long and graying, a bit frayed at the ends. She has crow’s feet around her eyes.

Normal animation: Stands there with her right arm on the desk.

Presenting animation: Pulls her glasses out of her hair and reads some documents.

Smug animation: stands with her arms crossed and a smile on her face.

Damage animation: Screams and almost falls back, catching themself on the wall.

Damaged animation: Sweating, she grits her teeth with her arm on the back of the wall. 

The defendant is one Will Gumshoe, Dick Gumshoe’s nephew. He’s been accused of poisoning his girlfriend, making a divination Seance useless. 

Will is the first witness, and his animation is basically Gumshoe’s with more finger guns and less chest breathing.

After proving, at least momentarily, that he wasn’t the killer, as since we’re assuming the poison was from the sandwiches they had, and he gave her his after her own was stolen by a dog, a second witness was called in- the owner of the shop, to prove that he wasn’t the one who poisoned the sandwich.

Sao Bishop, the second witness:

Appearance: Traditional Khura’inese dress, with a cigarette in his mouth and a belt with two bottles of sauce in his hands. Victor Kudo levels of age.

Idle animation: Nods head side to side.

“Whoops” animation: grips his bottles, squirting a bit out.

Breakdown: squirts his bottles into his eyes, and has to start wiping the sauce out.

When he is revealed to not have a motive nor much of a way to get the poison in the sauce without poisoning anyone else, in a desperate move, Yellen calls in a second witness to get her conviction. 

He’s the killer.

Introducing John Etter.

He’s dressed as a janitor, and holds a mop with a bucket of water on the end.

Idle animation: the bucket bobs up and down.

Damage animation: Tenses up around the mop, pulling it down and sending a splash of water upwards.

Breakdown: Pulls the mop full downwards, sending the bucket flying and landing on his head, dousing him and his springy hair. For the rest of his talking, his hair is disheveled.

John was forced into a confession with Piper’s mechanic, High Pressure.

Basically, it’s about quickly forcing as many statements as possible out of a witness until you can use the voice recorder to catch them in a lie.

John held a grudge against Will, and tried to poison him but ended up poisoning the girlfriend. 

At the end of the trial, Apollo comes in, disheveled and tired, and once he realizes that there’s actually another defense attorney in this country, he’s REALLY happy, and invites Piper to work at Justice Law Offices.

After the trial, we see Will trying to fly home, as he was on vacation with his girlfriend, but since he himself can’t actually afford a plane ticket, he’s stuck in Khura’in for the time being. He decides to help out at Justice Law Offices as an assistant, providing assistance and debriefing on trials.

Apollo has started wearing traditional Khura’inese clothing, and Datz and Ahlbi work with him.

I have no design concepts for Piper.

There will be more about this if this post can get at least a few comments and positive feedback

EDIT: since I make the rules, Apollo's new tie is stylized after the mark of the defiant dragons making it look like a dragon tied around his neck.
