@jazzimena okay, regarding Thundercracker before I totally forget -
This gives his complete history, and apparently he had a rivalry of sorts with Arcee in Bayverse. Total grounds for it!
However, I'm still....too "damaged" by Jack's total drain of presence to use him, assuming for a moment I keep either Arcee or another female Two-Wheeler in this position for what we were discussing. However, I'm getting ideas for a replacement of sorts for Jack who'd be a cross between two Voltron characters - separate versions of the same guy, really - as a stand-in who'd have far more personality/purpose than just a pushover. I'm enjoying those thoughts, but I'll come back to him later once I've got the name I'm looking for for him.
Also, I'd forgotten another human OC I'd come up with:
He was the technical biological son of Kicker Jones, a character I wouldn't mind revisiting and revamping so that he wasn't such a major pain in the end. I was also experimenting with the idea of a half Cybertronian from TFA, so Jason was unknowingly born from a bud that scanned Kicker when he dove into one of the hot spots' pools after figuring out the energon didn't hurt him. This was to lead to a plot point of sorts, but now....Jason might stay, but I might drop the half Cybertronian angle. I think - okay, yeah, the Kicker and Jason plotpoint was referencing the Onishis from RID 2001, with Kicker getting caught because since his dip in the hot spot, he's a walking energon detector, while Jason would be taken in for care by the Autobots like Koji was, but maybe that was too much?
I'm also realizing that Chip Chase, as a wheelchair bound kid, would probably activate Breakdown's protective instincts which could also bleed into his redemption arc, but that's still to be decided. I do love Ruth, but she's turning out to be harder to implement. And it's getting a bit harder to discern what kind of human friend Breakdown would connect with.
As a few humorous asides for bombarding you with these ramblings:
All of Jack's "guardians"/Cybertronian pals have a primarily blue paint scheme. Even Smokescreen had some blue on him before he unfairly got hit with a darker blue paint scheme.
