Ok straight up Constance Contraire is the BEST way to portray little kids in media. Like every other show makes the little kids either sweet and innocent or like spoiled crybabies with no agency. Anyone who’s been around young kids will tell you that those portrayals are bullshit, kids are mean and smart as fuck. Likewise, Constance has FULL agency, is super smart, and actively chooses to be a little shit. She’s a fully fleshed out character with her own flaws and quirks like her issues with vulnerability (which she covers up with snark, of course). She’s not dumbed down at ALL because she’s supposed to be young (which is the whole point of benedict society but still more books and shows should take notes).

Also all the other characters know fully well that Constance knows what she wants and what she’s going to do and they respect that. Never in the books does anyone override her decisions without further discussion because “you’re young you don’t know what you’re talking about”. Idk I just love the way she’s written so much.

Idk. Just Romeo and Jay's blood children's names and how they do not fit them

Tyler Aeris Roman Wolf: obviously for his dad (Romeo) and he is... barely anything like him. Oh, sure, he has his hair and grey skin (even the red eyes- just with blue instead of gold) but all that is appearance wise. Personality wise... eh.

Unlike his father Tyler doesn't get angry- sure, he gets annoyed and frustrated, but his anger is a cold, calculated quiet thing, unlike his father's explosive temper. He's also much more sarcastic, witty and sassy than him. Over all Tyler prefers creative activities or relaxing ones than challenges or fighting- though a spar here or there to put his siblings in their place isn't something he's afraid to do.

Xayah Vanaerys Bellatrix Wolf: named after Xara. Except she's too much her parents daughter to be anything like her. She's a warrior like her father, with a temper to match, and has her mother's perverted and dark humour.

Doesn't care all that much about redstone or any kind of technology, she prefers a weapon and an enemy to beat. Not to say she's dumb or a meat-head, just that she has a preference. Xara would be horrified at her namesake, especially if she knew of the carnage she's caused.

Fredrick John Daniel Wolf: obviously, he is named after Fred, and hoo-boy is that name just... it doesn't fit. At all.

Fred was this calm person, an animal and nature lover. Took care of people and helped them without thanks because it was the right thing to do. Fredrick doesn't do none of that sh*t.

This guy gets named after a calm person, gets a full name which is elegant and royal sounding, and turned into a goddamm gremlin. Tyler and Xayah are partly normal, but this guy? Unhinged. His father at his evil-ist was tame, his mother at her most unhinged perhaps is close, but the combination of them? In one person?? Fred is rolling in his grave because of this kid.

If Xara and Fred were to ever somehow meet his kids, they would assume Tyler is their namesake, not... the other two *glances at Xayah picking her teeth with a dagger and Fredrick chugging twenty Red Bulls and vibrating out of this dimension* and they would be "sadly" wrong.

Me: Look my Stephcass kids on Earth-116

•A little while after Steph and Cass get married Steph gets her tubes tied Cass is trans btw •Anyway she does get get some of her eggs frozen •They’re married for about two years when they decide to have kids •They find out adoption is gonna be very difficult bc Steph is still in medical school and other reasons •cough ableism, homophobia, and transphobia cough cough •Anyway they remember the eggs •They get Harper to be their surrogate bc shes one of the few people they trust thats not a hero (well anymore) •Their daughter is born late at night while they’re on patrol •They end up naming her Barbara Crystal Wayne •Harper didnt let anyone hold her until Cass and Steph got there bc she knew they wanted to be the first (besides her) ones to hold her •Cass cried when she saw her •They call her Barb for short •Barbara calls her Baby Babs •A little more than a year later they decide to have another kid and ask Harper agian to be the surrogate •She agrees •When their son is born they actually are in the room bc he’s born in the middle of the day •They name him Timothy Damian Wayne •They call him Timmy •Tim calls him Tiny Tim •Cass again cries •His middle is Damian because they wanted to keep with the theme of naming their kid after important people in their life and Damian was the only name they could agree on for a middle name •They got Barb and Timmy’s ears pierced when each of them were one •Barb and Timmy officially have three godparents; Harper, Barbara, and Tim •Unofficially they have backup godparents in this order; Dick, Duke, Kara, Nell, and Cullen •Barb and Timmy are like 9 and 7 in the drawing above •Steph and Cass moved into Wayne Manor when Barb was four and Tim was two because Arthur Brown was released from prison on patrol and Steph started to have the same nightmares she had when she was fifteen and pregnant •Barb and Timmy are raised without gender roles and taught to express themself freely •Timmy takes after Cass with her martial art abilities but he acts more like Steph •Steph is offended when Kate tells her Barb acts like Bruce did when he was a kid •Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Crystal always try to be the favorite grandparent •But Grandma Talia is the favorite •Since on Earth-116 Sandra Wu-San (Lady Shiva) has a redemption arc she gets to be in their lives •She doesn’t know how to act around children but she tries •People who aren’t allowed to babysit for the same reason; Damian, Athanasia, and Sandra •This is because they kept trying to teach Barb and Timmy how to use a sword with a real sword •Barb is actually really good at it but they only let her practice with a toy sword now •Steph is the one who does their hair, paints nails, helps them get dressed, ect bc Cass is still not the best at appearance stuff •But Cass is the stay at home mom When Steph graduates from medical school Cass and the kids throw her a party •One day Barb will be Robin after Helena Wayne then Batgirl when she gives Robin to Timmy and then Bluebird (she considers going by Spoiler but Spoiler was created to defeat Cluemaster and even Steph agreed Spoiler should be retired forever) •And Timmy will be Robin after Barb then Black Bat when he outgrows it Cass is Batman btw and Steph was Nightwing but Steph retired when the kids are 11 and 9 •Barb turns out to be a lesbian •Timmy is genderfluid and turns out to be bi •Steph doesn’t tell them about the fact she gave a daughter up for adoption until their 15 and 13 when that daughter contacts her with questions •But that’s a post for another day
