so the bad news is that one of my 3 hard drives failed.

the good news is that it's apparently been dead for several months now without me noticing, so it's one of the two i salvaged from my old laptop, and not my main. i use one of them to store my art on and haven't noticed anything corrupting there, so it's probably the one i have reserved for bootcamping windows 10 and linux, neither of which ive actually used, so i can just disconnect it without worrying. so that's lucky.

anyway if your computer starts making weird beeping noises from the hardware, not the speakers, you should get it checked out.

In search of gift suggestions

I wanna get a present for my husband’s cousins girlfriend, who is thrilled to be pregnant with a boy baby after having four girls(2 singletons and twins😳). I’m a little confounded tho. No registry. No Pinterest, no nursery pictures, I got nothing. And I’ve met this girl like once ever. She’s on the other side of the country.

All I know is that she super loves babies. And this is probably her last one. And they’re extra thrilled it’s a boy. So that kind of confounds my usual lean to gender neutral. She obviously wants boy stuff. I would think she’d be pretty well stocked on things. But maybe not if she refuses to reuse anything remotely girly? But after 4 babies I’m sure she’s probably got strong opinions on stuff like bottles and baby soap and diapers and whatnot and which brands she wants, so I don't wanna mistep there.

She’s in the last month and miserably uncomfortable and sad that her shower got canceled (I don’t even know, so much FB vague blogging). So. I wanted to go a little extra. I’m meandering through Amazon searches. I’ve got a couple blue outfits and bibs and a book in my cart but I’m not feeling psyched about any of it. Anybody have any inspired ideas? Trying to keep it under like $50. And I don’t feel like she’d be into hand made. If I even had time chasing E, which I do not.
