Helloooo! Would you mind writing about 56 (I found the candles) and 94 (I married an idiot) with my dear kihyun please? Thank you so much!
“Jack be nimble, jack be quick, jack help me find the freaking candle sticks...” you grumble as you search through what seems to be the millionth box in the basement of your and Kihyuns house, searching for the decorative candles for the table.
You were hosting thanksgiving at your house this year for the first time, a move-in celebration of the sorts... and you needed everything to be perfect.
Now if only you could find the freaking candles.
“Babe!” You yell, coming to the bottom of the stairs and looking up. “BABE!”
“WHAT?!” You hear Kihyun yell back, coming to the basement door and opening it, looking down at you. You had both been in the kitchen all day trying to figure out how to make stuffing, mashed potatoes, and how to baste a turkey so the meal could be prepared before everyone came over.
“Where did you put the candles?” You huff, putting your hands on your hips. “I can’t find them anywhere.”
Kihyun wipes his hands on his “kiss the chef” apron and puts his hands on his own hips.
“Did you check the box labeled ‘candles’?” He quirks an eyebrow at you, knowing you sometimes tend to forget to read before you dig in when searching for something.
You feel a blush coloring your cheeks before you turn back towards the main room. Sure enough, there was a box labeled ‘candles’ and you found them in no time.
Sheepishly, you make your way back up the stairs and plunk them down on the counter. “I found the candles.”
Kihyun smiles smugly at you and leans back against the oven. “And where did you find them?”
“... in the box labeled ‘candles’” you grumble, picking up your hard found candles and bringing them to the dining room. “Go ahead, say it. Say, ‘I married an idiot.’ Go on.” You wave him on, placing the candles on the dining table and coming back into the kitchen.
Wrapping his arms around your waist, Kihyun hums thoughtfully before touching his nose to yours. “Yeah... but I think you’re cute.”
You frown. “But I’m an idiot...”
“Nah,” he chuckles, unwrapping his arms from you and crossing to the counter to chop up vegetables for some dish. “I wouldn’t say idiot... however, blind...”
“Hey!” You laugh, picking up a knife and going over to join him in his chopping endeavors. “Since when do you label things?”
He stops chopping and gives you a look. “How long have you known me?”
You sigh and shake your head, still smiling. “....Fine.”
“My own wife doesn’t know me... I’m offended.” Kihyun mock gasps, placing a hand over his heart.
“Shut up and chop your onion.” you laugh, shoving him with your shoulder. You may be off to a rough start, but as you prepare the rest of the meal and welcome your friends and family into your home, you decide this was already going to be one of your favorite thanksgivings... lost candlesticks and all.
