I wanna take a moment to address the musical crossover between the flash and supergirl. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE musicals, and so I was really excited for this episode. And overall I gotta say I enjoyed it. BUT I have one huge problem with it. The entire episode focused around the Music Meister trying to teach Kara and Barry that love is important even when you're a hero. In Barry's case that was good- he had broken things off with Iris for reasons that weren't really valid and the two of them loved each other regardless of all that. In Kara's case I'd like to call BULLSHIT. Kara had incredibly valid reasons for calling things off with the horrible shitbag that is named Mon El. He lied to her for the entirety of their "relationship" about who he was! He literally owned slaves and was complacent in that fact, he has proved time and again that he is a misogynistic pig, and to top it all off he tried to beg to get Kara back when she literally stood their and told him that she deserves better WHICH SHE DOES. When she broke it off on her own show, I finally thought the CW was getting something right. They finally said what we've all been thinking and it looked like the playboy was gonna be gone for good. But no. Of course that couldn't happen because it's the goddamn CW and they never do anything good. They decided it would be a good idea for Mon El to carry his unconscious EX to another dimension without her consent knowing full well she did not want to be anywhere near him. Then he tried to convince the members of team flash that they were still dating all while she was unconscious and couldn't protest. Then they made the entire episode about making Kara feel bad that she broke things off with Mon El even though her reasons were VERY FUCKING VALID. Finally the episode culminated in this shitbag from Daxam getting to be the hero and "saving" her by kissing her in a dream world AGAIN without her consent! This is not the content we should be seeing. Supergirl is supposed to be a feminist show about empowering women, not this piece of garbage that we've been getting fed.
