Either they are setting Supercorp up or this is the biggest queerbait move in the history of television.
I am all in for these Supercorp scenes and more but idk how much more of this anticipation I can take so hurry the hell up cw!!!
I feel like Lena luthor fell in love with kara slowly and gradually. It seem like she had infatuation with the hot shot reporter in season 2. She liked her but I think she was not in love just there yet.
In season 3 she liked her as a friend and more than friend too. In the end of the season 3 that grew even more. But she was in denial, that is why to suppress her feeling she started dating James.
In season 4 she found that James was not good for her at all, kara and lena was still friends but something changed. When Lena showed real emotions to kara, for a moment she thought that she like her more than a friend but when lex revealed everything to Lena it feels like she shoved her feeling in those boxes yet again.
In season 5 she was trying to convince herself that kara is not for her and that she was not her friend. But deep down she knew she was wrong.
In the last episode of season 5 of supergirl, Lena realised that she was in love.
I want to talk about something real quick:
Alright so I was looking up Irish names and came across a few that stuck out to me. This was one of them. A nickname for "Aileen" is "Lena" which means "bright, shining light" according to this site. We all know that Lena's character has a "bright" or good side to her. She genuinely wants to help people and do good. She's also the "light" to Kara's darkness (in my opinion.) Hense the "stick with me I'll keep you out of the darkness" line in the script.
Here the name Kieran (Lena's middle name or former last name before she became part of the Luthor family) means "little dark one." This applies to Lena also because we know she has a dark past with her mother dying when she was 4 and then being forced to live with the Luthor's who treated her terribly. We also see her go down a somewhat "dark" path after finding out Kara is Supergirl. Her heart was in the right place but her pain and heartbreak lead her to some unfortunate consequences.
Now it's not spelled the same but Cara or in our case "Kara" means a friend. We all know Kara and Lena are bestfriends (or girlfriends, whatever) so this is all coming together.
And finally the name of Katie McGrath's beloved dog, Oisin. This is super cute because he really does look like a young deer with his long skinny legs.
In conclusion, the meanings of all these names really bring everything together for me. Just make Supercorp canon in S6 pretty please?

Wait wait wait. So I had watched the first two seasons Supergirl when they first aired, then watched seasons 3-5 in quarantine. I became a Supercorp shipper (cuz duh) and am now rewatching seasons 1-2. In season 1, episode 4 “Livewire” Leslie Willis literally says Supergirl gives of “sapphic vibes” and I’m sitting here like... “This is already canon!!!! Let Kara and Lena have the love they deserve!!!!!!” For once I wish writers and showrunners would follow through with literally any of the character development and plotlines instead of just dropping them completely, but ESPECIALLY the Supergirl team. It’s glaringly obvious and honestly a disservice to the characters YOU WROTE. In that same breath, Leslie says “Who is hombre enough” (to get with Supergirl) and I maintain that Lena, Lena Luthor is the only person man enough to be with Kara Zor-El.
Alexandra Daddario: the perfect supercorp child.
Otto Schmidt supplying us with supercorp content is everything I need, like I would literally pay so much for a supercorp comic by him
