What is your favorite romantic relationship that exists within your cast (main characters or otherwise). What is it like and why do you love it so much?

Bonus: will it work long term, or is it destined to end in tragedy?

I prefer platonic or familial dynamics myself when it comes to my casts but I do dabble in the occasional romance.

The one I'm currently turning over in my mind is Dream Jumpers, the ship name for my two ocs Jas and Killian.

The romance between Jas and Killian is post-canon, going from strangers to friends during their main story then friends to lovers after. It is a love born of philia (friendship) and pragma (enduring) before ever becoming eros (romantic).

Killian fell first, a gradual harboring of a crush that bloomed not long after their first meeting. And Jas fell harder, realizing all at once her feelings towards him in the midst of a stressful time.

It's the sort of connection that arises from shared circumstance, overcoming obstacles and working together to reach the common goal, and then after being a duo for so long they almost can't imagine parting.

There is a brief period of mutual pining after Jas falls where she is uncertain of Killian's feelings towards her, unaware that he has been hopelessly in love with her for almost as long as she's known him.

As for it working out long term, I firmly believe the only way this relationship will end at the death of one or both. And so do they, as explored in this snippet.

But, as long as they continue being whumpable characters, that won't happen for a long time yet. If at all. >:3

It wasn't like a dreamshaper's pull, that was more like a sudden fainting spell. That knowledge was the only thing that kept him from panicking at his inexplicable exhaustion. So he accepted the need for rest.

The memory of being drawn into the dream world brought Orian again to the front of his mind. The other two had fallen silent at some point, he wouldn't be interrupting if he asked a question. "Is Orian all right?" He asked softly, eyes on the impenetrable darkness far above. For all he knew, he could be staring up into an endless abyss. Or down. He certainly wouldn't be any the wiser.

The idea made him dizzy, and Killian was glad he was already lying down, otherwise he might have fallen over.

"I believe so," Diana answered. He imagined her tapping her fingers idly on the remnants of the altar and briefly wondered what sort of worship this place was used for. What sort of work the acolytes or monks or whoever once lived here did. He didn't ask either of those questions.

"How do you know?"

She laughed softly. "Faith, mostly."

Killian couldn't argue with that.

Would your ocs celebrate Ides of March?

I headcanon Jas to be a Tumblr user, so she 100% would.

Killian is confused, naturally.

Which of your ocs do you think is the least intimidating?

Child Reese for sure falls in the category of least threatening, even after she acquires her knife she's still a 13-year-old with trauma.

Directly post-amnesia Killian also rolls with disadvantage when it comes to intimidation, he's about as intimidating as a drowned wet kitten in the early chapters of The Legend of Orian Goldeneye. Being incredibly skittish doesn't help either.

Two planets, known as the Twin Sol, are at war with one another for dominance of a star system.

Two of your OCs have found themselves suddenly in this universe where they are now the All High Supreme Commander Emperor/ess/ae of a planetary empire of extremely advanced, devout, true believing, dedicated legions.

Your OCs have been separated, and are each in charge of a different planet.

Neither knows the other is ruling the enemy empire.

Both find themselves in their respective war rooms, with a council of generals and admirals awaiting the go ahead for a massive operation. Whoever gives the go ahead first, would win, but at a hefty cost for a civilization they know absolutely nothing about.

What do either of them do?

Oh... this is far beyond an evil boop... this is a sinister boop. A malevolent boop. A nefarious---

Anyway, spinning the Wheel to determine the two OCs! First result is Killian from The Legend of Orian Goldeneye, so that would make the other OC in this scenario Jas.

Killian:

First: confusion, obviously. It's not every day you get yoinked from whatever you were doing into the position of All High Supreme Commander Emperor. Or is it? Doesn't matter. Initial confusion aside, his first actual move would be to determine the context. Ah, dominating the star system. As one does. But what of the other civilization? Oh... is this really best for the system...?

Jas:

Meanwhile, Jas would be doing the exact same steps, with a significant lack of politeness. She's not exactly pleased to be snatched from a dimension again. However, unlike Killian, she doesn't exactly think things through, especially when she lets her emotions do the leading. What I'm saying is, if the room of admirals and generals can convince her that whatever operation they're about to undertake is for the greater good, and soon enough, she would be the first to give the go-ahead. And then immediately regret it, but too late for that now.

Your character has been invited to a masquerade ball. What mask do they wear?

Does your character have a comfort item?

Yes! It would most certainly be his pendant, a round, opaque, green gemstone that's smooth like seaglass. He tends to fiddle with it when he's bored or nervous, and having its familiar weight keeps him calm. He's not sure exactly why that is, but he rarely takes off the pendant anyway. When they discover it has the capacity to tear a hole in the fabric of reality, he only gets more protective. Jas is the only person who has his blessing to hold and/or use it.

Your character has been invited to a masquerade ball. What mask do they wear?

I think he would have a mask that resembles a deer, or maybe a cat? Something skittish and gentle, but can be incredibly caring. (so maybe not the cat, then)
