Florentines from the Mary Berry Baking Bible. Inspired by TGBBO from a few weeks ago.

Baked in batches so some of them were baked perfect to have the classic snap when broken. First time making them and tasting them. I think they are a bit buttery, I’d like some more flavours.

Fetching ball can be exhausting. Poor Quinnty loves playing ball, he looks forward to fetch while we cook on the grill.

Happy 1st Gotcha Day with us Quinn - Top photo is one from the day we brought you home.  Bottom photo is from today when he got his gifts, a new toy, a squeaky ball and a bone.

We were not prepared for all the energy you had and continue to have, its been a journey, a learning curve having you join our family, we all made adjustments and we continue to learn new things and ways to work together. I took a longer time to accept you than I thought I would, but you broke down my walls and I will admit to being a big softie for you. Happy Gotcha day, I hope you like your gifts.

Homemade Custard Creams

I made these before and I thought they were pretty good. I still believe they are good biscuits(cookies) but I don’t think they are a match for custard creams. The texture is great but not a match and the flavour is faint so again not a match. Still on the search for custard creams

Quinnty was a whole lotta energy today. Poor pup didn’t get the walks he was expecting cos of the weather.
