there's a lot of generally pretty bad media that tries to "both sides" either ignorantly or completely maliciously (idk if the difference matters) an allegory for the israeli/palestinian apartheid and predictably sucks, but it was honestly weird how unironically based killzone shadow fall, a sequel to a fairly popular triple A FPS series, was in that regard

I don't remember the whole game and it definitely fell into some ideological traps but it very much did end with flat out saying that the "heroic" (and very obviously "western" coded in terms of both power dynamics and culture) side had set up the false flag attack to restart their war of annexation against the "terrorist" side that the protagonist from the former side gets radicalized with the traces of this information to join through the game, having the military leader of the "heroic" side reveal this and kill the protagonist, and then fake credits into an intense stealth mission without knowing who you're even playing as or what is going on...that ends with the protag's confidante from the "terrorist" side lining up and firing a sniper shot into the military leader's head as he spouts extremely on the nose fascist bullshit
