The Great North - s3e21: For Whom the Smell Tolls, Part One (5/14/23)
So many exciting season finales next week. I guess it’s a good thing the school year is almost over and the school will have all summer to... build a new school, I’m guessing.
I know this isn’t the perfect prom that Judy and Kima wanted, but one day they will tell their grandchildren this story, and their grandchildren will look at them like they are the most interesting women on the planet. Just ask Honeybee. She’s from the Lower 48. She CHOOSES to live in Alaska, and adventures like this are why.
Moon kind of got the Mike Wazowski treatment in my gifs, so I want to acknowledge here that he was right and he has a very good nose.
0% chance that anyone we care about gets eaten by pizzlies in the finale.

I mean, there’s no way fish fraud is a real crime. Everyone knows that all fish is equally terrible. But I will forgive Beef for his delusions.
I enjoyed Judy and Kima’s subplot, although Kima’s relationship with her mom felt a little unrealistic. Like, first of all, what sixteen year old girl identifies her mom as her feminist hero? Second of all, if Kima felt that way, you’d think she’d know a lot more about her mom’s job. Idk. It was enjoyable, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it had been Judy and Amelia idolizing Kima’s mom and glamorizing her job. That’s nothing against Kima. I really like Kima as a character and have ever since the murder mystery episode.

An incomplete list of crimes committed on The Great North (that are not acknowledged as crimes on screen) (I think)
Beef and Jerrybee did shrooms
Ham got an underage tattoo
Honeybee bought 4loko's on the dark web
Dirt! I think the most serious of her crimes IMHO would be 'discharge of a firearm indoors' in Any Court In A Storm Adventure
Principal Gibbons found drugs in the woods and kept them.
Beef sought out a bear to fight it outside of hunting season.
it's not legal for non-certified individuals to handle the delivery of the mail. (You've got math adventure)
Doctor Gary was definetly comitting medical malpractice by trying to take Judy's braces off early.
it is not legal to make homemade fireworks with TNT, also how the hell did Moon even get TNT like what
lets not forget about the prostitute on the radio, HJ Hank.
it doesn't matter how evil the beaver is, messing with a dam is very very very not legal.
also, the fact that they don't have a proper Animal Control office? That's crazy. "You can handle it" what about the elderly?!!
While it's not illegal to ask people to surrender their phones at a private event, I think there are rules about the responsibility of the organization that is taking the phones, like they have some sort of legal obligation to protect the phones from being taken by the wrong person at the end of the event. there should have been some sort of "ticketing" method for making sure the right people got the right phones back, instead of being stolen by the Pawn Shop Ladies.
while I cannot prove it, I'm pretty sure Neckbone was not legally aquiring skeletons for her science education business.
Zelda Blop. That's it, that's the final point, just Zelda Blop.
