AYO WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHOW 😭😭 so from what I’m gathering this is literally just gonna be Hidaka trying to hold back his primal mating urges and not fucking Asaka?? As crazy as that sounds, he might not even be the horniest person in this story because Asaka is already out here saying she loves him?? 2 eps in?? Hello?? The fact she gets turned on by how much he yearns for her is crazy too.

On one hand, absolutely diabolical premise, on the other, I’m glad we’re getting more of these spicier shoujo stories because women should be able to express their sexuality as they wish. That’s good for the medium and women as a whole, but this is just so wild. We haven’t really got anything like this from a female author recently.

I thought this show was gonna be a social commentary on discrimination and racism and no, it’s just unapologetically the author’s horny tumblr fanfic lmao. Even Aida seems like he’s getting turned on by the stuff with Hidaka and Asaka so everyone in this story freaky as fuck. I’m here for it tho ngl 😭

Kimikoe's initial run is done and I finally feel like yapping about it (or at least the finale)!

First off, it was so awesome finally getting to see Hana interacting with Mari as a reader of the prequel, and good for her getting promoted to Director of the Protection Bureau! Mildly interesting that she's got purple-ish eyes now when the chapter covers from Hana and the Beast Man gave her brown eyes but chalk that up to artistic choice, possibly so she doesn't look too similar to Mari (understandable). I will say I've read the Kimikoe manga before this and while translated chapters only go up to 17 (aka the first half of episode 9), in a desperate bid to know what happened next I skimmed through the raw chapters and mostly just gleaned context so I knew the general flow of events from the school festival onward but I enjoyed finally experiencing it.

Super sweet to see Kisara and Yukihiro bonding, things are definitely going more slow burn with those two. Also dear lord, Kisara letting "the moon is pretty tonight" slip was great. Yes it was legit a full moon that night but Yukihiro's reaction followed by her denial is such sweet shipping fuel.

Also, Kinari (the asshole "reporter") can eat an entire bag of dicks. Man literally tries to play dumb and innocent in front of the people he slandered, members of the Protection Bureau (one of whom is Tsunagu's mother) and his own mom who is clearly not buying any of his bullshit. At least the whole school realizes he was full of shit, too. Good job ending on a callback, and a nice little original slice-of-life scene for the credits.

Much as I would absolutely love to see more, I doubt we'll see another season any time soon; the manga is still ongoing and has about 42 chapters to my knowledge, and I'm pretty sure at least one of those chapters is going to be glossed over for a very understandable reason, so there would definitely need to be some time to build up a buffer again lest we risk a gecko ending (blegh).

Incidentally, we've ended right on chapter 23, for those curious. Also, awkwardly enough, chapter 24 is a Christmas chapter. Stars did not align for that one.

All in all, an excellent ride, hope we get more before the decade is over.
