Today I did rainbow paper with my kids — little pieces of black paper that you submerge in water and then drop clear nail polish onto to get an oil slick effect. If fact, the rainbow on the black paper and the rainbow on an oily puddle are both caused by the same phenomenon. Something a little different to what we usually post! I’ve been so inspired by early childhood educators lately and the amazing energy that they put into these important formative years, that I’m sharing a few of my favourite posts from the past few days. Scroll through for some play inspiration 😻 I believe that parents and educators can learn from each other. While we can bring more homely spaces, calming and nature based environments into childcare settings to mimic the warmth and comfort of home, we can also bring some of the amazing play facilitation from early learning centres into our child’s play routine or at least give them the option to@try these types of play set ups where possible based on their natural interests. I've had this craft on my list a few times but alway skip it because I get told "it's not crafty enough", "it's a paper plate craft", "Is that really what you're doing? I wouldn't be happy with that". This year I kept it and when I told the kids, they cheered.
