Little man went for a car ride for the first time at one week old.
It took us two hours to get out the house, between packing stuff we needed, changing nappy, feeding, changing nappy again, etc etc etc…going to have to get more efficient at this!
We went to Centrelink and VicRoads to update my name to my married one (finally after being married a year haha). Amazingly, both places were very quiet and we were in and out in under ten minutes! That NEVER happens at Centrelink. They must have known we were bringing a newborn :D I tied on our Hug A Bub wrap at home and just popped him in at our destinations and he snoozed against my chest - easy as. We are definitely going to be doing a lot of baby wearing!
Little man is making twenty million diapers a day! I’ve been looking up how to fold terry flats as he gets through the bubblebubs bambams we have quite quickly! I’ve ordered a little potty to assist with our Elimination Communication adventure, will be handy having something close by during feeds as he tends to pee a lot either just before or after feeding, but he gets all worked up having to go to the change table and get undressed each time I want to try. I did catch a poo in the tub today though! I know, gross, yet so satisfying haha. He promptly pooped in the nappy I then put on though, so lesson learned: wait as long as possible.
Last exciting update as we hit the one week mark: I can wear my jeans again! :D
