My game of the year is Kinfire Delve Callous’ Lab. Or Scorn’s Stockade. And, though technically coming out in 2023 I didn’t play it until 2024, Vainglory’s Grotto.

Hard co-op dice/card games that reward you just enough to keep you coming back.

I just wish there was some way to charge your lanterns more easily even if they were then somewhat nerfed.

I also played a ton of River Valley Glassworks. It’s simple but offers fun decisions. The expansions that came with Kickstarter actually dilute the fun, imo. Just don’t play it with someone with AP.

Another favorite was Harmonies. Great components and tricky, 3d puzzles to solve make for enjoyable gameplay without too much effort. The Spirit cards…. expansion?… added… not a lot to the game and some were clearly better than others. I only played with them once.

River of Gold was also a game I loved this year. But my game group didn’t feel it. I had a hard time convincing them play again so I fear I won’t have further opportunities to play it.☹️

I don’t have pictures but Flip 7, Cabanga, and Moonrollers also saw many repeat plays. And, despite myself, That’s Not a Hat. I enjoyed TNAH but man my short-term memory is… what was I saying?

Drew event cards on my second and third pull, got a third one my sixth..... Died to exhaustion by pulling 3 consumed... This is a luck based game and I got none 🤣

Literally, the game is just tactical based on numbers and abilities. Why are they all so hot?

i think i won? by the skin of my fucken teeth. assuming you don't have to flip every gauntlet over, that is. i don't see why you would, if you can just get at scorn while he's vulnerable to one or two types of damage. tell u what though, that red penalty was killin me, literally. 😥 if you can't see my damage die (the 10-sided pewter die in the top right corner of the playmat), it's showing 2 health left lol. one more ding woulda taken me out since red's penalty doubles my damage.

this game is kinfire delve: scorn's stockade, btw. :) it's a solo or 2-player game, but you can add more players by getting the other games in the series as well! i personally think it might be more fun with other players rather than solo.

Honestly, I just love this vibe. Everyone chilling around a campfire, having a great time.

We did not have a great time, we lost twice, but it was a lot of fun. I'm even more excited to eventually get Kinfire Chronicles to the table now.
