Can't tell the players without a scorecard: the Showa-era Toho kaiju.
A few portraits of Old School Kaiju. Slightly redesigned. (Saved from the defunct Kaijuphile website.)
An alternative from an official anatomy release in a TV Magazine, a kidis-focused magazine, and another anatomy layout
Unlike other depictions, the eyes extend into a pouch or “prism light ray sac”
Now at first Seesar seems organic here unlike a more.
However his “central-part /heart, depending on how one translates is either highly mineralized or in a protective casing.
In the middle is a “geothermal energy sac”, followed by geothermal energy intestine/bowels (however that works.)
If King Caesar runs on geothermal energy, they might be spending most of their time absorbing it from their special resting place while dormant.
And those bones... even with possible art issues, they don’t resemble how tetrapod limbs are drawn in the collection of anatomy [see Anguirus for comparison], being more far out and weird like King Ghidorah’s bizzare anatomy.
...could Caesar actually be an Alien creature? Or a homunculus, created in the form of living things by poorly-understood alchemy that somehow boor fruit ? King Shisa, What are you?!
On a side note: Ultrasonic radar ears
edit: If Seesar is an alien, it could explain how the Black Hole Aliens knew of him.
I couldn’t reblog this, so I just had to recreate it from scratch to respond to it--

King Caesar for Kaijune Day 8!
King Seesar shaming
Classic King Seesar (or King Caesar if you’re old school), Okinawa’s very own protector kaiju, from Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla (1974).
I very much prefer this version of the old fellow than that sleek, cleaned-up version in Godzilla Final Wars. Then again, I pretty much didn’t like most of the kaiju redesigns in Final Wars, especially Godzilla’s.
