Sorry about the name, I'm new and stupid. I get the hero villain and pirates au (exorcist the space ones!!), but how fun is it to imagine a tail instead of legs? I mean, what's so interesting in mermaid au??
Lol, no problem. I don’t think many people saw the post I mentioned my actual name in anyway.
I can’t really speak for everyone, but for me Mermaid AU’s are fun because
1. they can be paired off with pretty much any other AU. For example, you can mix it with a Pirate AU, Royal AU, and a few other common ones.
2. Mermaid AU’s have a lot of potential! A lot of people only stick with the “this character, but with a tail now.” but when I play around with the AU, I like to give mermaids powers and overall add more to it. Its a pretty plain and boring AU on its own, but the lack of specifics gives you so much more to play around with!
