Abaddon is not exactly a demon. in mythology, Abaddon is portrayed as both an angel and a demon, depending. he is said to be the ‘angel of the abyss’. perhaps a sort of fallen angel—which could be a reason why he was outcasted in Hell.
they had sent Abaddon to Earth with the purpose to get rid of him. think Pink Diamond or Spinel, if you know Steven Universe.
as seen(implied?) in the show, a lot of talk about himself being a ‘demon prince’, etc. is simply him trying to seem intimidating and impressive. you notice how his title changes everytime he says it
is a child by demon standards
he has very bad memory—as seen multiple times in the show, such as when he brought back buttons in ep9—due to him often dissociating, as well as the fact that he’s been alive for a while
from the art we see on the fridge, Abaddon seems to have a decent relationship with his vessel, contrary to popular belief
Abaddon has had only a few other ‘families’. he spent most of his years on Earth in solitude or trapped—when he wasn’t wreaking havoc—backed by the fact that he is very unaccustomed to many things he should know, considering how long he’s been on Earth. Like how to sit on chairs, and what a mirror is
not really a HC, but seems to get attached extremely easily—as seen in the picture above where he appears happy, as well as the whole thing with Jarbon, and the dinosaur he is seen holding in the timelapse—where he looks visibly upset that it has died
extremely naïve, as seen in the show. he is easy to trick if you know what you're doing
