Here's another #studiovckydoodleclub prompt... MARTINI. The best thing I could come up with was something that has meant a lot to me... Many years ago a friend suggested I play this game he found. It was free, browser based, with simple graphics, and hilarious writing. The Kingdom of Loathing. That was 14 years ago. Since then I've had a lot happen in my life that brought me to where I am today... not to mention what happened to those who made that game. They've made a new game with similar graphics and humor that has become super popular, and rightfully so. West of Loathing is super rad and you should check it out! So yeah... there you go! twitch live stream!

I'm going to livestream a 6-7day (ish) BIG! softcore run with commentary by Megabobster (an inactive loather who has never ascended), ChronusZ (a nonloather and let's player), and of course myself(ShinyPlatypus) on twitch.tv/megabobster This will be suboptimal so there's going to be a lot of mistakes, side quests, resting at my campground, and sqandering meat on Doc Galaktik, & there may even be misclicks and drunken stupor adventures etc. WARNING: **I use the vanilla interface so if you're a seasoned vet, or you script your runs this may make your eyes bleed.** I'm hoping that there will be a lot of questions about the game and gameplay to make this something that would be entertaining or educational for newer players.  Dates TBD, but I will update info in the various places I have posted this. Kingdom of Loathing 101

You walk up to Azazel's temple. Azazel hovers over a giant obsidian throne, a blur of swirling and flickering glaring eyes and sharp, sharp teeth.

"I heard that you might have recovered the talismans of my evil power," he says, his voice rumbling and whispering like a stampede of librarians. "Show me what you've got."

You do a few funky dance moves, then realize that's not what he was talking about.

"Fool!" Azazel screams. "Your quest is not yet complete. Get out of here before I use your entrails for garland on my Crimbo tree, and your skin for a throw rug."

You scurry out of the throne room while your insides are still in and your outsides are still out.

Kingdom of Loathing (KoL) is probably one of the best free online games out there. I've played on and off since about 2005, surviving the Grey Plague and when everyone received a chunk of time for Time Trappings. And had my account deleted several times because of the old 60-day inactivity rules.

Currently, I'm a level 26 Pastamancer and I helped name The Spacement this past Saturday.
