The concept of the Christian “laying of the hands” is no different than the Japanese system of Reiki. Both concepts are ancient and describe the process of using energy from one person’s hands to heal or unblock energies in another person’s body.

It is a universal law that energy is everything. All energy is transferable. It can neither be created nor destroyed. It can be used to create or destroy. “Laying of the hands” is used to create healing, blessings, and protection.

When it comes to melanated/eumelanated elders, melanin absorbs LIGHT. The more light/energy one has, the more energy one can transfer to another person or apply to prayer.

Who is He?

The Holy Spirit is the Lord. He is a healer and comforter and helper.

John 14:15-17. "15. If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17.Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."

If you don't see Him as a person you cannot have a personal relationship with him.

John 14:25-26. "25. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

He will teach you and help you in every thing.

John 15:26, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

John 16:7, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you." 12-13, "12. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." The Holy Spirit is with you and He will speak. He speaks.

He's my Helper.

He helps you pray and he helps you know right from wrong.

John 16:8. "And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:"

Through conviction God helps us. Convict, convince. In each verse there are a reasons.

Because:

John 16:9. "Of sin, because they believe not on me;" 1 Corinthians 12:3. "Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost." Because we need to believe we have sinned to need a savior.

John 16:10. "Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;" Because we can't see or talk to Jesus (in person) anymore, He is at the right hand of the Lord. We believe in Jesus so we are in right standing with God.

John 16:11. "Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged." Because Satan will get his due and he was the ruler of the world. John 12:31, "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out." 14:30. "Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me."

He's my friend and He's not weird.

Weird people can believe in the Holy Spirit and normal people can believe in the Holy Spirit. The devil and people with the wrong understandings twisted what we see from the Holy Spirit into something to stay away from.

He's my God.

John 14:16, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;" 26, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." 15:26, "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:" Luke 3:22. "And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased."

God is three in one. He refers to Himself and gives Himself praise.

Acts 5:3-4. "3. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4. Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God."

The Holy Spirit works with us and for us and leads us. He is our all knowing, caring friend.

My whole relationship with God is based in what I've learned in my relationship with the Holy Spirit and what I believe in because of it.
