"Girls VS Boys" memes and why they're not just a joke

Hey yalls, Kira here, this has been on my mind quite a lot recently so I'm just gonna ramble about it here.

For some time I've seen these "girls vs boys" memes going around. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, here are a few examples.

These started out way back in late 2019 with the "girls locker room vs boys locker room" memes and now they're most commonly associated with the wojacks. I feel like if you've been online anywhere in the past few months of so, you've seen one of these.

Now to the point: I cannot fully describe how much I fucking despise this format. Basically the entire joke can be boiled down into "girl boring boy funny" or "girl bad boy good" and its fucking ridiculous how this shit is still popular.

Its fucking sad because the ones I've put in my list of examples aren't even the worst ones I've found. There are versions of this meme where the entire message is "girls dont know real depression!!" or "girls have is so much easier than us guys, society hates us :((" Now, I'm not trying to say that guys have it easier or guys can't be depressed or anything like that. I'm just asking, why the hell do you need to put down a whole group of people just to make a point about how society treats men?

Even with the regular ones it's just dumb how they basically imply girls have no sense of humor and that we only care about looking hot, have the people that make these ever interacted with a girl before? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they haven't.

Worst part about these memes are that they're basically those "not like other girls" posts that everyone hates except with genders, yet they're treated like comedy gold. It's so stupid how girls will be shamed for posting "not like other girls" stuff but as soon as a guy does it with genders and makes it like a meme its suddenly a super funny epic maymay format that gains a million upvotes everyday. Sexism is sexism no matter who does it, why is it when boys do it "as a joke", its praised? I've literally seen instances where girls reply to these memes with "guess I'm a boy now :/" and the replies to that being along the lines of "yea yea we get it, you're quirky" and it honestly pisses me off.

Shit like this also happens cause of these memes as well, guess which subreddit I found this on. It's just sad honestly.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is that this meme format should die already, it's been a fucking year. It's not funny, its sexist as shit, and no one likes them except for 12 year old incel cucks on reddit. Fuck this format and the people who make it.
